| In 2021,General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the 44 th session of the World Heritage Committee,stated that it is our common responsibility to protect,inherit and make good use of the World Heritage(WH),which is an inevitable requirement for the continuation of human civilization and the sustainable development of the world.The buffer zone of the WH site in the South China Karst(SCK)is scattered with village dwellings,which added pressure to preserve the outstanding universal value(OUV)and integrity of the WH site.The development of agroforestry is an important means to maintain rural livelihoods,protect the ecological environment and realize the protection and development of the heritage site.It is important to study the synergistic relationship between the WH karst site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development.According to theories of geography,management,ecology,heritage conservation,regional economic,sustainable livelihoods,3S technology,etc.,aiming at the scientific issues of the construction evaluation indexes for the karst heritage site integrity protection,and the synergistic relationship between the WH karst site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development.The Natural World Heritage site(NWH)that represents the overall value and conservation attributes of the SCK,taking the Shibing karst heritage site,which has the protection attributes of a national scenic area,and the Libo-Huanjiang karst heritage site,which has the protection attributes of a national scenic area and a nature reserve as the study areas.From 2020 to 2023,through data methods such as remote sensing data interpretation,information data survey and collection,comprehensive index analysis,coupling coordination degree model,and GIS spatial analysis,a systematic study is conducted on the synergy and regulation of the heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development.Focus on elucidating the synergistic relationship between the WH karst site integrity protection and agroforestry development in the buffer zone,revealing the coupling degree and coupling coordination degree of the two,proposing regulatory measures for the synergistic development of the WH karst site integrity protection and agroforestry in the buffer zone,and providing scientific reference for the synergistic development of the WH karst site integrity protection and agroforestry development in the buffer zone.Focus on elucidating the synergistic relationship of the WH karst site integrity protection and agroforestry development in the buffer zone,proposing the regulatory measures for the two,and providing scientific references for the synergistic development of the WH karst site integrity protection and agroforestry development in the buffer zone.(1)Discovered the spatial pattern and distribution characteristics of the changes in the evaluation indicators of the karst heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development,and analyzed the development status of the karst heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development.From the synergy perspective of the heritage site integrity protection and the agroforestry sustainable development in the buffer zone,constructed the 24 indicators of the WH karst site integrity protection and the agroforestry sustainable development in the buffer zone,the evaluation index including landscape integrity,integrity of heritage value embodiment,ecological benefits,social benefits,economic benefits,and development prospects in six dimensions,including landscape dominance,uniqueness of landscape beauty,vegetation coverage,population density,employment opportunities,and agroforestry output value.The weighting analysis of the indicators of the heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development shows that landscape integrity 0.6783 and ecological benefit 0.4085 are the most important factors influencing the development of the heritage site integrity protection and buffer zone agroforestry development.Ecological sustainability is the greatest advantages of agroforestry,and the heritage site integrity protection and the agroforestry sustainable development in the buffer zone need to be synchronized and coordinated to achieve a synergistic development of them,which is useful to reveal the coupling coordination relationship of the heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development.(2)Constructed the coupling evaluation index system of the karst heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development,analyzed the comprehensive index and coupling and coupling coordination degree of the two,clarified that the heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development have a high coupling degree and good coupling coordination relationship.From2015 to 2020,the development of the two systems of the heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development of Shibing and Libo-Huanjiang karst showed an upward trend.In the temporal dimension,the coupling degree of the nine villages of Shibing and Libo-Huanjiang karst in 2015-2020 is relatively stable and maintained at a high level,and the coupling coordination degree is on an upward trend,indicating that the two systems tend to develop in an orderly manner and the coupling coordination relationship is developing in a benign direction.In the spatial dimension,the coupling and coupling coordination degree of the two systems of Shibing and Libo-Huanjiang karst shows the same development pattern.The heritage site integrity protection and agroforestry development in the buffer zone have a mutually promoting and coordinated relationship.In the process of the heritage site protection and development,it is necessary to strengthen the education and publicity of heritage protection policies,stimulate the ecological,social and economic development potential of agroforestry in each villages and the regulatory measures between them according to local conditions,and strengthen the coupling coordinated development of the two systems.(3)Proposed measures to regulate the synergistic development of the WH karst site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry development,and the heritage site integrity protection is closely related to the buffer zone residents’ activities.The synergistic development of the heritage site integrity protection and the buffer zone agroforestry takes ecological sustainability of agroforestry as the criterion,through strengthening the education and propaganda of buffer zone residents on heritage protection policies,adjusting the structure of agroforestry industry,relieving villagers’ economic pressure,and transforming traditional planting methods.Based on this,it is proposed to promote the green development of the buffer zone with ecologically sustainable industries,to take the sustainable development path of ecological industrialization and industrial ecology,and to promote the rapid economic development of the buffer zone through the combination of governance and development of the buffer zone protection and sustainable development model,which not only effectively improves the environmental quality of the heritage site,but also promotes the rapid development of the buffer zone economy.In conclusion,the WH site integrity protection and agroforestry development in the buffer zone is an interlinked and mutually influential whole,and the synergistic relationship between the two is of great significance in promoting the protection of heritage site and the sustainable development of the buffer zone. |
