| Aims:(1)To investigate the effect of primitive reflex integration training on the integration of each residual primitive reflex.(2)To investigate the effects of primitive reflexes on the components of executive function in children with ADHD tendencies.(3)To investigate the linear relationship between primitive reflex integration and the inhibitory control, working memory, and transformational abilities of executive function.Method:This paper adopts the literature method, experimental method, mat hematical statistics method and case study method for research.Among the qua litative research methods are case study method, observation method and intervi ew method, while the quantitative research methods include questionnaire surve y method and experimental method. On the one hand,we used primitive reflex integration training as the intervention method to investigate the changes in th e degree of primitive reflex integration and the components of executive functi on before and after the intervention;on the other hand,we divided the experi mental subjects into mild and severe groups according to the residual condition of primitive reflexes, and conducted 2(groups:severe group, mild group)x 2(groups:severe group, mild group). On the other hand, the subjects were divi ded into mild and severe groups according to their residual primary reflexes,a nd a repeated measures ANOVA of 2(group:severe group, mild group)x 2(t ime:before and after the intervention)was conducted to investigate the differe nces between the two groups in terms of the degree of integration of primary reflexes and the components of executive function, given the same intervention. In Study 2,two cases with a combination of ADHD tendencies and vestibular function problems, and ADHD tendencies and developmental dyslexia problem s were studied using a case study approach to investigate changes in behaviour al indicators before and after the intervention.=Results:The findings of Study 1 included:1.Overall,(1)the improvement in the degree of primitive reflex integration before and after the intervention was statistically significant(P<0.01),and the results of repeated measures of variance with age and gender as covariates showed that the degree of integration was not affected by age and gender;(2)the function of each component of executive function improved to varying degrees before and after the intervention(P<0.01);(3)there was a significant linear relationship between the degree of primitive reflex integration and inhibitory control(P<0.05),with the better the degree of primitive reflex integration the greater the improvement in executive function;2.A 2(group:heavy group, light group)x 2(time:pre-test,post-test)repeated measures ANOVA was conducted by dividing the subjects into a heavy and a light group and found that(1)there was a significant main effect within the primitive reflex group before and after the intervention(F(1,33)=671.11,P<0.01,ηP2=0.953),a significant main effect between groups(F(1,33)=47.67,P<0.01,ηP2=0.591)and a significant main effect for time x group(F(1,33)=44.033,P<0.01,ηP2=0.572).Further simple effects analysis revealed a statistically significant difference(P<0.01)in the degree of improvement in primitive reflexes between the two groups before and after the intervention,as well as a statistically significant difference in the degree of improvement between the two groups.(2)The main effect of inhibitory control was significant before and after the intervention(F(1,33)=157.208,P<0.01,ηP2=0.827),the main effect between groups was significant(F(1,33)=5.864,P<0.05,ηP2=0.151)and the main effect of time x group was significant(F(1,33)=9.021,P<0.01,ηP2=0.215).Further simple effects analysis revealed a significant difference in improvement in inhibitory control between the two groups before and after the intervention(P<0.01)and a significant difference in improvement in inhibitory control between the two groups(P<0.05).From the case studies in Study2,both cases with ADHD tendency combined with developmental dyslexia and ADHD tendency combined with vestibular problems found varying degrees of behavioural improvement.Conclusions:(1)Primitive reflex integration training can improve the primitive reflex of children with ADHD tendency to a certain extent, and the improvement of primitive reflex by training is not affected by age and gender.(2)Primitive reflex integration training can effectively improve the executive function of ADHD-prone children.(3)The degree of original reflection integration is highly correlated with the improvement of the suppression control function, and the better the original reflection integration degree, the more obvious the improvement of the suppression control function. |
