| The rapid development of Internet technology brings about a surge in information and makes the public not only information recipient but also possible information producers.The low cost of information production and dissemination facilitates the proliferation of bogus information on the internet.Under this background,netizens need to rationally treat the information from the internet and improve their ability to discriminate network information.In this thesis,based on the dataset of "Survey on Social Awareness of Netizens",the exploratory factor analysis and structural equation model are used to investigate the factors impacting the netizens’ ability to discriminate network information(NADNI).Observable variables that may relate to NADNI are selected from the dataset,and an exploratory factor analysis is conducted to select indicators for NADNI and several factors(latent variables)that may relate to it.Then,based on a structural equation model,some statistical inferences are conducted.Three significant impacting factors for NADNI and the impacting mechanism are revealed:the frequencies contacting official and unofficial information,respectively,have positive and negative impacts on NADNI,and the internet activity has a direct negative impact on NADNI and a positive impact on the frequency contacting unofficial information,which indirectly leads to a decline in information identification ability. |
