| With the development of the lighting industry,people’s demand for lighting fixtures is no longer limited to the lighting function,but is more concerned about their design.Lighting design has gradually transformed into decorative design,and its decorative function has gradually become an important part of people’s motivation to purchase lighting products.The macro structure of wood grain as a common natural decorative element has not been deeply explored for use in lighting design due to material and technical limitations.Research on innovative applications of wood grain in lighting design can supplement the biomimetic design method of lighting shape design and increase the decorative function of lighting fixtures.Using digital biomimetic design technology for biomimetic design is the process of reproducing biological features using information technology.Through research on the digital texture synthesis method of wood grain,Open Shading Language encoding is used to simulate the wood grain elements of each macro structure of wood using the superposition method,and then these elements are combined to form wood grain,improving the Peachey wood grain simulation method.Finally,the synthesized wood grain is simulated and verified digitally.The aesthetic elements of wood grain are used in wood grain design through literature research,and combined with biomimetic design theory for digital wood grain design.Based on the use of digital wood grain digital assets for three-dimensional model construction,a method of using digital wood grain shape as lighting shape design is proposed.Through the case simulation of larch wood grain,it is verified that the improved digital wood grain can well present the typical characteristics of wood grain and can be used in biomimetic design of wood grain.In the design practice part,the digital wood grain design process is combined with the parameterized design process of lighting fixtures for innovative lighting design,realizing the technology of previewing the final product effect at the design stage.In terms of lighting shape design,digital wood grain lighting biomimetic design is carried out at three levels:wood grain texture modeling,wood grain shape modeling,and wood grain image modeling.Finally,the design scheme is presented as a solid product using 3D printing technology,verifying the feasibility of the design.The study shows that the optimization of the digital wood grain design method improves usability,and real-time interactive digital design experience can achieve customized production of wood grain lighting fixtures.The application of digital wood grain in lighting design is feasible,and the image and shape of wood grain elements are effectively combined with lighting fixtures.Digital wood grain lighting fixtures can be produced through 3D printing technology. |
