Direction finding is an important part of underwater target detection.In recent years,more and more attention has been paid to target source localization used by vector hydrophone arrays,especially the high-resolution direction finding algorithms based on vector arrays is a hot issue.Aiming at the limitations of the existing algorithms of coherent signal direction estimation,this paper studies the problems of coherent signals by using vector circular arrays,and gives methods to improve the ability of the target direction estimation.Based on the array signal model,classical decoherence algorithms are simulated and analyzed.When the signal-to-noise ratio is high,the forward-backward spatial smoothing algorithm is better,and when the signal-to-noise ratio is low,the vector singular value method is more suitable,but the classical decoherence algorithms are only suitable for uniform linear arrays,and cannot for circular arrays.For broadband signal sources,based on the phase-mode transformation,the azimuth estimation of broadband incoherent sources is studied.The forward-backward spatial smoothing algorithm and the eigenvector singular value algorithm are used to conduct azimuth estimation of broadband coherent sources.Direction finding performance of different sound pressure and particle velocity combined treatment of vector circular arrays are compared and analyzed.Aiming at the problems that the discretization of circular arrays leads to the decrease of direction finding accuracy in the phase-mode transformation,the matrix filtering method and the beamforming method are used to study the azimuth estimation of broadband coherent sources.Simulation experiments show that the two methods can work better in a lower signalto-noise ratio environment and improve the resolution of the algorithm.Through the lake test data processing,the decoherence algorithms based on the phase-mode transformation,the matrix filtering method based on the phase-mode transformation and the beam domain method based on the phase-mode transformation are verified respectively.The experimental results show that the phase-mode transformation decoherence algorithm solves the coherent signal resolution problem of the vector circular array,and matrix filtering method based on the phase-mode transformation and the beamforming method based on the phasemode transformation improve the algorithm performance of the vector circular array to estimate the coherent signal.
