After years of development,the underwater acoustic transducer array technology is relatively mature,but the vector hydrophone array technology started late,and it is still one of the hot spots in the field of underwater acoustics.Based on a scientific research project,this paper designs and produces a 16-element circular array of vector hydrophones,with a working frequency band of 10?3000 Hz,and a certain ability to estimate the azimuth of underwater targets.This paper designs the sound pressure and vector channel of the vector hydrophone based on the requirements of the vector array.Use COMSOL to perform auxiliary analysis on the oil-filled structure of the element,and select light wax oil with lower vibration velocity ratio deviation according to the simulation results.Based on the directivity diagram of the vector array,the advantages of the vector circular array in azimuth estimation are explained.The relationship between the array element and the scattering intensity of the array and the distribution of the scattering sound pressure level of the circular array in the working frequency band are given by simulation.At the same time,combined with the scattering field simulation,a design scheme for the rigid array frame of the circular array is proposed.Several three-dimensional piezoelectric vector hydrophones were made,the size of which was ?66×95mm.The test screened out 16 vector hydrophones to form a vector circular array.The test result of the vector hydrophone array element shows that its sound pressure channel is omnidirectional,with a sensitivity of-192 d B(0d B=1V/?Pa @ 1k Hz),and the vector channel is cosine directivity,with a sensitivity of-182 d B(0d B=1V/?Pa)@ 1k Hz)or so.And the consistency between the array elements is good,the sensitivity difference between the vector hydrophones is within 1d B,and the phase difference is within ±3°.This type of vector circular array was conducted in an field experiment in Songhua Lake,which proved its engineering application value.
