| The Han Dynasty is one of the most important periods in Chinese academic history, and its establishment in the study of classics is regarded as the origin of Chinese classics as the"Sinology" which is parallel to the later "Song study".Many later studies of Confucian classics are often developed on the basis of Sinology or further developed or refuted in the opposite direction. Therefore,"Sinology" is a link that cannot be ignored in the study of traditional Chinese Confucian classics. The relationship between the Han Dynasty Yixue and the astronomical calendar is an enduring topic in the history of Han Dynasty classics and Han Dynasty astronomy.Under the circumstance that the boundaries of ancient disciplines were not very clear, many Yi scholars were also astronomers and calendar scholars, and they consciously or unintentionally incorporated the knowledge of astronomy and calendar into their own theoretical system. One of the more representative ones is Meng Xijingfang’s Guaqi theory and its related Yixue system. In this case, without knowing the relevant astronomical and calendar knowledge,it is impossible to accurately explain the relevant Yi-learning issues, and the ancients did not pay enough attention to this idea in the interpretation of the scriptures, but rather separated the learning of the scriptures from the experience..At the same time, without understanding the influence of astronomy,it is impossible to make a more in-depth exploration of the principle of induction between heaven and man behind the interpretation of Yixue. On the other hand, astronomy in the Han Dynasty was an important part of the history of Chinese astronomy. The Han Dynasty had many far-reaching academic achievements in astronomical calendars, such as the final establishment of the twenty-four solar terms, the observation of the five stars and so on.In the development of astronomy, astronomers in the Han Dynasty urgently needed a more fundamental theory to explain various astronomical phenomena and establish a more precise calendar.Under this demand,Yi Xue,which contains the theory of yin and yang and the five elements, became the theoretical source of astronomers in the Han Dynasty. The combination of Yi learning and astronomy profoundly influenced the thought and politics of the Han Dynasty. In terms of thought, this combination further develops the idea of the induction of heaven and man.The combination of Yixue and astronomy not only provides a theoretical basis for the idea of induction between heaven and man,but also because of the further development of the idea of induction between heaven and man, this influence radiates to the study of classics and mathematics.,agriculture, production and other social aspects. And it also had a profound impact on the future academic study of Yi Xue.Most of the Yi Xue research of later generations was based on the support or refutation of Sinology.Politically, the combination of the two complied with the strong trend of the thought of catastrophe and prophecy at that time, and in turn made a theoretical explanation and systematic arrangement of the scattered and unsystematic thought of catastrophe prophecy, which had a profound impact on the political environment of the Han Dynasty. Therefore, this paper discusses the integration of Yixue and astronomy. In the introduction part,it mainly explains the current research situation and research methods in the background of research significance. In the part of the relationship between early astronomy and Yixue, this paper mainly defines the concept of astronomy, and outlines the interaction and development of Yixue and astronomy before the Han Dynasty. In the chapter of Yixue’s influence on the field of astronomy,it mainly discusses three aspects:Yixue’s naming of astronomical terms, interpretation of astronomical phenomena, and its influence on the Western Han Dynasty calendar. In the chapter on the influence of astronomy on Yixue,it mainly focuses on the theory and construction of astronomy on Yixue, its combination with the theory of induction between heaven and man,and cosmology, and mainly takes Meng Xi and Jingfang Yixue as examples. Finally,it discusses the influence on the political structure of the Western Han Dynasty under this fusion, and points out the role and limitation of this influence in the Han Dynasty, using astronomical disputes such as the calendar dispute of the Taichu calendar in the Han Dynasty, the death of Zhai Fangjin and the reform of missing carvings as clues. At the end of the article is a summary of all the discussions. |
