Study On Faunal Remains Of Neolithic Of Huanggang Site In Huaian,Jiangsu Province | | Posted on:2021-09-19 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Q Pei | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2530306020470484 | Subject:Cultural relics and museums | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Through the study of faunal remains unearthed in ancient sites,zooarchaeology can help us to know the ancient animal species and the relationship of humans and animals,restitute natural environment and discuss the economic and cultural of ancient societies from a specific perspective.A large number of faunal remains have been unearthed at Huanggang site which is located in the lower Huai River.This paper attempts to analyze faunal remains of Neolithic animals unearthed in the site,explore utilization of animal resources and restitute natural environment around the site.This paper consists of four chapters:The first chapter is an introduction that introduces the research objects and methods,sorts out faunal remains found in the middle and lower reaches of Huai River from 5300BC to 3600BC.Chapter two introduces the faunal remains of phase 1&2 of Huanggang site and conducts the research using method of the quota statistics and analysis.Chapter three contains the discussion of whether Canis,Sus and Bubalus Mephistopheles in Huanggang site are domestic animals from the aspects of morphology,age structure,sex ratio,relative ratio,cultural phenomenon and pathological phenomenon,analyzation of the sources of meat and slaughter methods of the ancestors,exploration of the hunting strategies of wildlife and the natural environment,and analyzing the way of using animal resources by the artificial traces on the bone surface.Chapter four summarizes the development and utilization of animal resources in Huanggang site,compares the utilization of animal resources in surrounding areas of Haidai area,Taihu area,middle reaches of Huaihe River and lower reaches of Huaihe River,and attempts to explore the relationship between the difference of animal resources utilization and population flow in Huanggang site. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Huanggang site, Neolithic age, Animal remains | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
