| Home and country feelings,rooted in the excellent traditional Chinese culture,have different value connotations and discourse systems in different historical and cultural backgrounds,but it is essentially manifested as the individual’s political identity,cultural identity,value identity and emotional identity to the country beyond the nation,class and region.The cultivation of college students’ home and country feelings is an important category of college ideological and political education and has a natural fit with college ideological and political education in terms of value theme,education form and teaching content.As primary cultural fields of education,universities play a key role in the construction and cultivation of home and country feelings of contemporary college students.In recent years,the cultivation of home and country feelings has been raised to an important strategic position;our party and country have attached great importance to the cultivation of young people’s home and country feelings.In 2014,the Ministry of Education issued “the guidelines for improving the education of excellent traditional Chinese culture” to implement the traditional culture education for teenagers,promote the integration of traditional culture and classroom education,and carry out the education of home and country feelings focusing on the spirit that “everyone is responsible for the rise and fall of the country”.At the 2019 Spring Festival Reception,Xi Jinping further emphasized that “the whole society should vigorously carry forward the home and country feelings;cultivate and practice socialist core values;carry forward patriotism,collectivism and socialism;advocate the unity of loving home and patriotism;encourage everyone and every family to contribute to the great family of the Chinese nation.” In 2020,General Secretary Xi Jinping presided over a symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools and further pointed out that “students should be guided to enhance their confidence in the socialist path,theory,system and culture,and cultivate patriotism.” It can be seen that it is still necessary to carry out the cultivation of college students’ home and country feelings under the vision of college ideological and political education.Besides,as a kind of universal and flexible national emotion,family and country feelings can play a key role in gathering national strength and building national consensus in the face of national crisis and major disasters.For example,the prevention and control of Covid-19 has fully demonstrated the home and country feelings of “One Country,One Destiny” and community consciousness of the “post-90s” youth in the face of disasters.Through the empirical research in several universities in Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Shanghai,it is found that although the cultivation of college students’ home and country feelings has made remarkable achievements such as such as diversified cultivation contents,diversified expression methods,and the formation of a more universal awareness of home and country feelings,however,there are also some specific deficiencies such as complex cultivation environment,imperfect cultivation contents,lack of rich cultivation carriers and innovative cultivation methods.These deficiencies lead to the practical dilemma of insufficient inheritance and innovation in both theory and practice of cultivation of home and country feelings.Based on the in-depth exploration of the practical difficulties in the cultivation process,by proposing the five main methods: optimizing the environment,improving the contents,enriching the carriers,innovating the approaches and establishing the guarantee mechanism,this paper constructs a systematic and structured cultivation schema for college students’ home and country feelings under the vision of college ideological and political education,so as to realize the beautiful vision of normalized development of the cultivation of college students’ home and country feelings. |
