Community correction is an important part of the judicial system.It reflects the trend of humanization of punishment and helps corrective object to return to society more smoothly.This study found in the preliminary investigation that the extra pressure brought by the special status of corrective staff tend to cause some negative emotions such as impatience and anxiety,which adversely affects the progress and completion of correction work.Therefore,it is proposed that paying attention to and alleviating the emotional problems of correction staff and improving their capacity of emotional management should be included in the correction work process.As a preliminary attempt for social work to intervene in the emotional management of community corrections object,the author selected a representative Y as the client of the case,centered on Y’s emotional problems,and carried out case work around the improvement of emotional management capabilities.First,collect data through multiple dimensions of individuals,families,and communities,analyze problems and resources,determine the resources of the service object and his social support network,and attach importance to the advantages and potential of community corrective objects.Second,focus on Y’s outstanding emotional situation,guided by the emotional ABC theory,formulate a targeted service plan,provide practical services through the whole process of case work from receiving the case to evaluation,adopting the rational emotional treatment model as the main method,and Intervening via interviews and activities to help clients alleviate emotional problems and improve emotional management capabilities.Finally,by summarizing and reflecting on this case service,the author explores the effective mode of social work in enhancing the emotional management capacity of community corrections staff,which is beneficial to help community corrections staff enhance their motivation for change,so as to better enhance the actual effects of community corrections.It can increase the public’s sense of identity and acceptance of correctional work,and promote the localized development of the community corrections system. |
