Research On The Coordinated Development Of Higher Education And Regional Economy In Henan Province

The relationship between education and economy has always been an important field of concern in the field of education economy.With the arrival of knowledge economy,higher education is the most direct and closely related part to economic development.Higher education is the strong driving force for the rapid development of economy,while economy provides sufficient guarantee of substance for the expansion of higher education.Whether the two can coordinate and help each other has always been a hot issue of scholars from all walks of life.The national economic and social development plan of Henan Province in 2019 has clearly proposed to carry out the pilot of industry education integration cities,schools and enterprises,and support the construction of a number of industry education integration training bases.Support the "double first-class" construction of Zhengzhou University and Henan University,and guide characteristic backbone universities to cultivate professional and high-quality talents.This reflects that under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s new socialist ideology with China’s characteristics,Henan has profoundly understood the significance of educational modernization for economic development,which means that Henan should grasp the great opportunities for economic development,attach importance to the development of higher education and give play to the leading and coordinating role of Higher Education in the process of economic development.This paper studies the coordinated development of higher education and economy in Henan Province,which has both theoretical significance to fill the research gap and practical significance to promote the harmonious development of social economy.Based on the status quo of higher education and regional economic development at home and abroad,and combining with the screw theory,the third function of higher education theory,manpower capital theory and new economic growth theory,which constitutes the basis of theoretical analysis,selection of henan higher education hierarchy,layout structure,class structure and scale correlation with regional economic indicators.Through correlation analysis,principal component analysis and regression analysis,and horizontal comparison with Shanxi,Shandong,Anhui and Hebei provinces,which are the same as the central plains economic zone,this paper studies the coordinated relationship between higher education and economic development in Henan Province in a quantitative way.The results show that: among the many indicators of higher education,the number of graduate students is the most influential,followed by the number of students;Among many indicators of regional economy,real GDP per capita has the greatest impact on regional economy,followed by real GDP per capita disposable income of urban residents and output value of secondary industry.Through the fitting data table,it can be found that the fitting degree of higher education and economic development in Henan Province is not very good from 2005 to 2014,the fitting degree is good from 2014 to2016,but the fitting degree is poor from 2016 to 2019.It reflects the mutual influence between the development of higher education modernization and regional economy.Through the horizontal comparison of provinces in central Plains economic zone,it is found that the relationship between higher education and economic development is relatively uncoordinated.Finally,in view of the problems existing between the coordination of higher education and economic development,this paper raises the corresponding strategies and methods,hoping to be helpful to promote the coordinated development of higher education and regional economy.The specific suggestions are as follows: the multibody cooperation,the construction of adjustment mechanism;Enlarge the scale of highlevel personnel training,improve the quality of personnel training;Optimize the structure of the branch,enhance the economic service function;Improve the layout of schools and promote a balanced regional structure.
