In the development of the next wave of global economic integration, knowledge-based economy has been booming. At this stage, the world economy has shown a change led by the labor-intensive to a knowledge-and technology-intensive. Talents become the important support of regional development. Speed up the cultivation of high-level personnel has also become one of the important initiatives to promote regional development. At the same time, from the practical point of view of our country’s development since the reform and opening up, although China’s economy maintained a long-term rapid growth, however, continues to expand the development gap between eastern and western regions has become one of the urgent problems in China’s future development.Through the judgments of the interaction between higher education and economic growth in the context of the design of the western region of higher education development and economic growth in the coordinated development of mechanisms and achieve the path is a high theoretical and practical significance, while This is also the starting point of this study.On Western higher education and regional economic development research, this paper is divided into eight chapters, the following questions:First, higher education and regional economic coordinated development of the reviews of the literature.
