| The Chinese University Basketball League(CUBA)is currently the best-developed and most influential college-level sports event.The competitive state of its athletes can directly affect the performance of the game and the experience of the audience.The mental burnout of athletes is an important factor that affects the performance of CUBA college basketball players.How to alleviate or avoid the mental burnout of CUBA college basketball players has become very important.This article takes the 319 athletes participating in the 22 nd CUBA Level 1 League as the survey object,uses literature data,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics,and logical analysis to carry out relevant analysis and discussion on them,and draws the following conclusions:(1)Athlete mental burnout is a psychological phenomenon,and its external manifestations are mainly reflected in five aspects: emotion,cognition,motivation,behavior,and physiology.According to the interaction theory,athletes’ mental burnout is composed of three dimensions: reduced sense of accomplishment,emotional/physical exhaustion,and sports depreciation.Regarding the occurrence mechanism of athletes’ mental burnout,currently generally accepted are three mechanisms: cognitive-emotional model,commitment model,unidimensional identity development and external control model.(2)Through the investigation of the mental burnout of the players in the 22 nd CUBA League One,it is found that the average ABQ score of CUBA college basketball players is 32.18±11.965 points.Among them,there are three types: reduced sense of accomplishment,emotional/physical exhaustion,and sports depreciation.The scores of the component dimensions are all 15 points lower than their theoretical median,indicating that the overall performance of CUBA college basketball players’ mental burnout is at a moderately low level.(3)The mental burnout situation of different groups is different.In terms of gender differences,male athletes score significantly lower than female athletes;in terms of grade differences,basketball players in fourth-year undergraduates have the strongest mental burnout,and graduate and first-year basketball players have the weakest mental burnout,and both are significant.In terms of training years and sports level differences,athletes who have been training for ten years or more have relatively higher mental burnout,while athletes with an excellent sports level have relatively lower mental burnout.(4)The sociological causes of mental burnout of CUBA college basketball players mainly include management organizations,individuals,coaches,and teammates.Among them,at the level of organizational security,daily management factors have the greatest impact;at the level of personal factors,confidence input factors have the greatest impact;at the level of coaching factors,training and guidance factors have the greatest impact;at the level of teammates,teammates’ collaboration factors have the greatest impact.(5)CUBA college basketball players’ psychological burnout control strategies mainly include three levels of sports organizations,athletes,and coaches.Among them,the strategies of the sports organization dimension include: improving the flexibility and scientific level of daily management;strengthening psychological supervision and psychological skills training;building Conducive to the common progress of the team atmosphere.Strategies at the athlete level include: correct understanding and timely prevention of mental burnout;being good at self-regulation and seeking social support;building self-confidence and actively seeking a progressive experience.Strategies at the coach level include: giving personalized care based on individual differences;emphasizing on setting reasonable goals under the premise of hard work;optimizing training quality to reduce burnout feelings. |
