Research On The Quality Of Expert’s Anonymous Comments On Dissertations

Anonymous expert dissertation review is an important part of dissertation review book.The analysis of anonymous expert dissertation review is helpful to improve the quality of dissertation to some extent.In recent years,the educational circle gradually attaches attention to the quality of Graduate Dissertations.The quality of Graduate Dissertations can effectively reflect the quality of graduate education,and anonymous expert dissertation review is one of the key points to evaluate the quality of Graduate Dissertations.Anonymous expert dissertation review refers to a series of specific targeted evaluation made by experts in specific disciplines according to the topic selection,framework,logical structure,content,method and so on,which has great reference significance for graduate students to modify dissertation and further improves the quality of dissertation.The data of this study is mainly from the master’s degree thesis review books of 13 universities in Hunan Province in 2019.Firstly,the quantitative statistical method is used to make statistical analysis on the data of the master’s degree thesis review books in Hunan Province,and the overall characteristics and content characteristics of anonymous review experts’ evaluation are summarized.Then,the qualitative analysis software Nvivo12 is used to code and analyze the experts’ attention dimensions in anonymous review comments.Finally,according to the analysis results,the problems existing in anonymous review of dissertations and the causes of these problems are summarized,and some suggestions on the management of anonymous review of dissertations are put forward.Through the quantitative statistical method and NVIVO12,the author analyzed and coded the master thesis review books in Hunan Province in 2019.The results showed that :(1)the majority of reviewers rated the papers as "B";(2)The length of most anonymous review expert reviews is more than 250 words;(3)In the analysis of the word number of the evaluation contents of merits and suggestions,the number of words of "merits evaluation length > suggested evaluation length" accounted for the largest number of review books;(4)In the review books,a small number of reviewers checked the degree of familiarity of the paper as "unfamiliar";(5)The ratings of different reviewers of the same paper basically match,but there is also a situation of "three ratings difference";(6)Through coding,it is found that reviewers pay more attention to students’ literature collection,internal logic of the paper,ability of refining and summarizing,standardization of writing,innovation and value of the paper,perspective and value of the topic selection,etc.On the basis of the statistical results and analysis,the following conclusions are drawn: the design of some schools’ review books is not standard,the writing of evaluation is not standard,the content of evaluation is not specific enough,and the content dimension of evaluation is not comprehensive enough.Anonymous expert dissertation review is influenced by many factors.In order to improve the quality of the anonymous review of dissertation,this paper puts forward some management suggestions from three aspects: improving the reviewers’ sense of responsibility,perfecting the management mechanism of expert evaluation and optimizing anonymous review process of Dissertation.
