Under the impact of the COVID-19,there is a growing tension between the shrinking number of jobs and the growing number of master's graduates.The supply and demand of the job market is imbalanced,and the job search situation is not optimistic.When graduates of master's degree face the uncertainty of employment,the peer has become sensitive source of job search pressure.This study selects master of social work graduates as the research object.It focuses on the overall situation of peer pressure in the process of applying,the influencing factors of peer pressure,and peer pressure around the theme of peer pressure.This research is based on the methodology of qualitative research.It collects first-hand data through semi-structured interviews with 15 graduates of social work majors from three universities in N city,and summarizes and analyzes the original data with grounded theoretical methods.In order to better understand the status quo of job hunting and peer pressure of master graduates,the research was supplemented by questionnaires as a method of collecting data.The study found that most master graduates understand and feel more or less peer pressure during the job search process,and the overall perceived peer pressure intensity is moderate.Peer pressure in job hunting is mainly affected by five factors including social environment,school and family,personal traits and personality characteristics.The impact of peer pressure on graduates' job hunting is mainly reflected in job hunting competition(involved,&healthy competition),corporate culture(wolf culture,&humanistic care),social expectations(education-based,& ability-based),and jobseeking mentality(optimistic,&anxiety),job search direction(follow the trend,maverick,&follow the heart),job search behavior(active,&negative),and job satisfaction(relative satisfaction,psychological gap,& looking around).Research suggests that peer pressure does not only play a single role for graduates in job hunting,but changes between the three dimensions: "positive' catalyst'——the neutralization of the' catalyst' and the' stress source'——the negative' stress source'."...
