Media and technology,virtual experience and interaction are no longer unfamiliar,and even become an inseparable and very important part of life.The virtual avatar of the virtual world has become a way of self-expression and personal business card for people today.It brings not only novel experiences,but also a way to re-understand oneself and the world.From the perspective of virtual avatars,this paper attempts to explore the influence of new media on people's self-cognition and self-realization,and achieves the fundamental purpose of perfecting and perfecting oneself through new technologies and tools.In order to make the research more focused,this paper selects the social anxiety scene in the life of college students as the research background,introduces the concept of virtual avatar and related technologies,and sorts out its relationship with self-cognition and social anxiety.Models and methods for regulating social anxiety are proposed through simulation experiments,and application tools are designed and constructed.The research content of this thesis is expounded from four aspects: desktop research-user research-experimental research-design practice:(1)The first part is desktop research: firstly,through the analysis of virtual avatars and social anxiety related theories,the theoretical basis of virtual avatars affecting social anxiety through self-cognition is obtained,which will pave the way for subsequent research.Secondly,through the application research of virtual avatars and social anxiety intervention,the design value of virtual avatars in social anxiety scenarios is summarized,and the significance and goals of subsequent design research are clarified.Finally,by introducing virtual avatars into the cognitive behavioral intervention model combined with the social anxiety generation model,the design points of virtual avatars in social anxiety scenarios are summarized,which provides direction for the induction of subsequent design strategies.(2)The second part is user research: Firstly,aiming at college students,we use questionnaires to understand the general situation of avatar usage and social anxiety,and verify the necessity,urgency and feasibility of the design.Secondly,according to the user's current avatar usage and social anxiety intervention,the user's existing habits,consumption status and future trends that need to be paid attention to in design practice are obtained.Finally,the user experience journey is constructed through user interviews,combined with the conclusions of open user interviews to analyze and explore more user needs,to provide a basis for the transformation of design practices.(3)The third part is experimental research: this chapter puts forward experimental hypotheses on the basis of the previous research conclusions,designs a behavioral experiment of virtual avatars in social anxiety scenarios,and collates and analyzes experimental data to verify virtual avatars in typical college students' social anxiety scenarios.On this basis,it explores the relationship between incarnation,self-cognition,and social anxiety,and proposes a theoretical model for regulating social anxiety,which provides a theoretical basis and source for the subsequent introduction of design strategies.(4)The fourth part is the design practice: first,based on the previous article,the design strategy of virtual avatars in social anxiety scenarios is summarized,and the meaning of the strategy and the way of practice are expounded in detail.Secondly,under the guidance of the design strategy,the design practice is carried out in combination with user needs,and a social psychological intervention application based on virtual avatar is designed for college students.Finally,the design scheme is tested by users,and the test results show that the scheme has certain feasibility.This paper introduces the concept and technology of virtual avatars into the field of design research,explores the relationship between virtual avatars,self-identity and social performance,conducts experimental research on social anxiety issues that college students are concerned about,and applies the research results to social psychological intervention tools in design.The research results provide theoretical and methodological references for the impact of new media development on people's psychological behavior and design applications in the future.
