The issue of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" is a fundamental issue related to the national economy and the people's livelihood, which is highly valued by the state. At present,China has won an all-round victory in the fight against poverty, the Rural Revitalization Strategy has been steadily promoted, the living standards of farmers have been continuously improved, and the material needs have been basically met.At this stage,it is of great significance to meet farmers' spiritual demands and further improve farmers' subjective well-being for the realization of people's livelihood goals in the new era.Media is a window for people to understand the world, which can influence people's judgment of life satisfaction.Especially in recent years, farmers' access to and use of media have become more and more convenient. The frequency of media contact and content acquisition have imperceptibly affected farmers' way of thinking, thereby changing farmers' production and lifestyle. At the same time, intelligent and interactive mobile terminal devices are also deepening farmers' dependence on media, and farmers' subjective feelings are bound to be affected by the content carried by the media. Therefore,it is necessary to explore the relationship between media and farmers' subjective well-being from the perspective of media use.Based on the survey data of Chinese General Social Survey(CGSS)in 2013,2015 and 2017,this paper makes a descriptive statistical analysis on the subjective well-being of the dependent variable farmers to understand the basic evaluation of farmers' subjective well-being;Descriptive statistical analysis of the independent variable farmers' media use, comparing the three-year analysis data, insight into the characteristics of farmers' media use;Descriptive statistical analysis was carried out on the individual factors and family factors of the control variables, and whether there was collinearity between the explanatory variables was detected.According to the variable types of farmers' subjective well-being,an ordered regression model is constructed to analyze the relationship between farmers' media use behavior and their subjective well-being year by year, and pay attention to whether the relationship between media use and farmers' subjective well-being will change over time. The empirical research results show that there is a significant positive correlation between TV use and farmers' subjective well-being in 2013,and the correlation between Internet use and farmers' subjective well-being is not stable; In 2015,the use of radio, television and Internet all had a significant positive effect on Farmers' subjective wellbeing, among which the use of television had the strongest effect on Farmers' subjective well-being;In 2017,there was a significant positive correlation between the use of newspapers, radio, television and the Internet and farmers' subjective well-being at different levels. However, the correlation between the use of newspapers and farmers' subjective well-being was not robust enough; At the same time, the three-year fitting results show that it is difficult to have a correlation between magazine use and farmers' subjective well-being.To sum up,the study found that the types of media that can have a correlation with farmers' subjective well-being gradually increased, and the stability of the correlation between the two continued to strengthen;Media use has a significant role in promoting farmers' subjective well-being,and this role is gradually increasing.
