With the advent of the 5G era,the low-band Sub-6GHz and the high-band 28 GHz have gradually entered commercial use,and new requirements have also been put forward for vehicle antennas,such as multi-band antennas,compactness,directivity,optical transparency and aesthetics,etc..In the past,most car antennas were metal antennas,which not only took up a lot of space for radio equipment,but also affected the aesthetics.In order to overcome these difficulties,the antenna not only needs to have the characteristics of being easily conformal,but also have the characteristics of light transparency and directional radiation.Therefore,researchers propose to use light transparent antennas for vehicles,which are mainly installed on vehicle glass.In this paper,on the premise of increasing the gain,reducing the size and increasing the antenna bandwidth,two vehicle transparent millimeter-wave antennas that meet the requirements are designed.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,an ITO thin film transparent antenna based on quartz glass is designed.The design idea is to choose quartz glass as the substrate,and use transparent conductive material(ITO film)as the ground plate and radiation patch of this antenna,so that the designed antenna model can achieve a transparent effect.In order to meet the communication requirements of the Internet of Vehicles,horizontally polarized and vertically polarized transparent antennas are designed respectively,and they are installed on the car window to meet the polarization requirements of in-vehicle communication.The final vertically polarized antenna works at27.26-28.59 GHz,with a bandwidth of 1.33 GHz,and the highest in-band gain is 7.5d Bi;the horizontally polarized antenna works at 27.06-29.95 GHz,with a bandwidth of 2.89 GHz and a maximum in-band gain of 5.7d Bi.Finally,a metal grid transparent antenna based on quartz glass is designed.The design idea is to choose quartz glass as the substrate,and use a metal grid as the ground plate and radiation patch of this antenna.The narrower the side of the metal grid antenna,the larger the hollow area of the grid,and the higher the light transmittance,which is optimized to achieve a transparent effect.As a vehicle-mounted antenna,it also needs to achieve both horizontal polarization and vertical polarization transmission and reception effects,so two different transparent antennas are also designed.Finally,the vertically polarized antenna works at 26.91-28.61 GHz,with a bandwidth of 1.7GHz,and the highest in-band gain is 7.2d Bi;the horizontally polarized antenna works at 27.35-29.95 GHz,with a bandwidth of 2.6GHz,and the highest inband gain is 6.9dBi.
