In the research of target tracking technology,precise tracking of maneuvering targets is always a challenge.Due to the fast moving speed,the increasingly complex and changeable motion state of the target,the accuracy of target motion parameters estimation and the matching degree of the target motion model with the target motion state are two important aspects that limit the performance of maneuvering target tracking.Obtaining accurate target motion parameters estimation is conducive to obtaining better filtering output during tracking filtering,and constructing a highly matched target motion model is the key to ensuring that the filtering does not diverge.In the above considerations,this paper carries out research on maneuvering target tracking technology based on the MIMO radar system.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Firstly,the working principle of MIMO radar is introduced briefly,and then the connection between MIMO radar waveform design and target tracking is analyzed,in addition,illustrated by the emission energy pattern.Furthermore,two signal processing procedures of MIMO radar are discussed,and the characteristics of virtual aperture expansion and angle measurement accuracy improvement of MIMO radar are analyzed.At last,the MIMO radar is compared with phased array radar,the advantages of MIMO radar are elaborated.2.Research on the DOA estimation algorithm for MIMO radar.First,the working principles of several classic DOA estimation algorithms are introduced in detail,namely Capon algorithm,MUSIC algorithm and ESPRIT algorithm.And then the gradient descent method is applied to the DOA estimation technology,an "Inherited" Gradient Descent DOA estimation algorithm is proposed.Besides,the basic principle of the algorithm is described and compared with the above-mentioned classic DOA estimation algorithms.Finally,the computational complexity of each algorithm is analyzed.The simulation results show that the "Inherited" Gradient Descent DOA estimation algorithm can obtain higher DOA estimation accuracy with fewer iterations,and effectively reduce the computational complexity.3.Research on the construction of motion model in target tracking technology.First,the UKF algorithm with strong ability to handle nonlinear problems is selected as the filtering algorithm for subsequent simulations.And then starting from the classic Singer model,the "Current" Statistical Model and the Interacting Multiple Model algorithm are discussed in turn,in addition,the model set is constructed and simulated.Moreover,an Improved Adaptive "Current" Statistical Model is proposed,then the model construction and the adaptive update process of maneuver frequency are introduced in detail.Finally,the target tracking simulation is completed by the UKF filtering algorithm.The simulation results show that the proposed Improved Adaptive "Current" Statistical Model can adapt to a larger range of target maneuvering situations,and can still ensure that the filter does not diverge when the target moving with uniform acceleration variation.
