This thesis is centered on the discussion and research of the maneuvering target tracking technology in photoelectricity measurement and control system based on the modern control theory such as adaptive control theory.Firstly, the thesis introduces the development of the adaptive control theory and the insufficiencies of classical control methods in dealing with the maneuvering target tracking , which expounds the research purpose of this paper. Secondly, modeling traditional drive equipment of the servo system. Thirdly, the basic principle of single maneuvering target tracking is expatiated. And then how to track single maneuvering target steadily with adaptive methods in photoelectricity theodolite is discussed detailedly, including modeling the moving statements of maneuvering targets based on Current Statistical Model, the distributed tracks fusion algorithm when multi-sensor tracking targets simultaneously based on single sensor tracking .Finally simulations are done with Matlab and Simulink so as to validate the correctness and efficiency of the models and algorithms. The method of Kalman filtering and distributed track fusion algorithms applied to the servo system in the photoelectricity theodolite are put forward, based on the former research fruits , combined with the fact of the servo controller design in photoelectricity tracking. The simulations indicate that the tracking error can be effectively reduced with the adaptive methods when the targets maneuver, which proves that this algorithm can improve the tracking ability of the photoelectricity system.
