Today,traditional network functions face many issues,such as cumbersome deployment,rigid resource allocation,vertical and closed architecture,and unbalanced business volume and revenue.In order to alleviate these problems,network operators have proposed network functions virtualization(NFV)technology.In NFV network,network functions are virtualized as software modules and deployed on a general hardware platform through virtualization technology,which reduces the coupling of hardware and software resources.As a key application of NFV technology,service functions chain(SFC)can flexibly arrange network functions and provide diversified services,and can realize rapid update of network functions,which has attracted extensive attention from scholars.Therefore,this paper mainly studies the deployment problem of virtual network functions service chain(VNF-SC)in Inter-Data center optical networks.Firstly,the deployment problem of virtual network functions service chain is studied in the scenario of unrestricted IT resources in the data center,and the joint multi-segments path(JMP)algorithm was designed.The JMP algorithm divides each end-to-end path into multiple path segments with the data center as the boundary,and considers the impact of spectrum resource expense and utilization on different path segments,and then selects an appropriate end-to-end path to deploy virtual network functions service chain.The simulation results show that under the premise of receiving the same traffic request,the JMP algorithm not only has a lower blocking probability than the existing algorithms,but also has a low average service running time.Secondly,the deployment problem of virtual network functions service chain is studied in the scenario of limited IT resources in the data center,and the joint optimization resource(JOR)algorithm was designed.In the stage of virtual network functions deployment,not only the distance between the data center and the source node,but also the amount of remaining IT resources in the data center was considered.After that,the remaining spectrum resource probability and IT resource probability are proposed as evaluation indicators for selecting the optimal end-to-end path.The simulation results show that the JOR algorithm has a lower blocking probability than the existing algorithms.In a word,this paper summarizes and analyzes NFV technology and related aspects such as SFC,solves the problem of efficient deployment of VNF-SC resources in inter-data center optical networks in different scenarios,and provides new ideas for deploying VNF-SC in NFV networks.
