Bluetooth mesh network is a self-organizing wireless communication network developed by low-power Bluetooth.It uses managed flooding technology to realize data multi hop transmission,among which there are a large number of relay nodes.However,too many relay nodes will lead to the problem of too much redundant data and high packet loss rate.Therefore,it is of great significance to design and implement the appropriate relay nodes selection algorithm,which can reduce the number of relay nodes and packet loss rate.A relay nodes selection algorithm for Bluetooth mesh network based on LEACH(low energy adaptive cluster hierarchy)is designed and implemented by using nrf52832 Bluetooth chip and Nordic mesh protocol stack.The algorithm is based on LEACH algorithm and combined with the characteristics of Bluetooth mesh network.The network is clustered to form different levels of network nodes.The cluster head and gateway node in the clustering algorithm are used as relay nodes in Bluetooth mesh network.So as to reduce the redundant relay nodes,reduce the redundant data in the networkFinally,the algorithm is tested and simulated.The test results show that the number of relay nodes in small-scale network is 8(31 in large-scale network simulation),and the average packet loss rate of the network is below 3.8%.Both indexes are lower than that of the commercial mesh network of Nordic company and reaches the design index.The research of Bluetooth mesh relay node selection algorithm has a certain engineering application value for the application of Internet of things.
