Research On The Mechanism For The Effects Of Enterprise Social Media Communication Visibility On Employees' Knowledge Sharing

Nowadays,informatization construction has achieved rapid development in enterprises,especially since the outbreak of the COVID-19,more and more enterprises have accelerated their transformation to digital organizations.Enterprise social media is an important part of the digital organization,and it plays an important role in promoting internal information visibility,member interaction,and internal knowledge management within the organization.At the same time,as an important source of core resources for digital organizations,knowledge sharing has obvious effects on promoting the flow of organizational resources and enhancing the competitive advantage of enterprises.However,in the course of enterprise practice,it is found that there are still many difficulties in promoting individual knowledge sharing.Previous studies have shown that the technical characteristics of enterprise social media have a positive impact on employees' knowledge sharing behavior.However,most of these studies focused on individual needs satisfaction and organizational factors,and did not explore the impact of enterprise social media technical characteristics on knowledge from the perspective of individual impression management strategy differences.The impact of sharing behavior.enterprise practices have shown that individual impression management strategies have had an important impact on employee behavior.As employees' image display occurs more online,enterprise social media provides new research perspectives for exploring its impact on employees and organizations.Therefore,this research focuses on the impact of the technical feature of enterprise social media communication visibility on employee impression management strategies and knowledge sharing.This research collects and analyzes corporate surveys and employee interview data through qualitative research methods,identifies the key features of online impression management strategies,and builds a mechanism model in which enterprise social media communication visibility affects employee knowledge sharing through impression management strategies.In order to verify the theoretical framework proposed by the hypothesis,this study distributed a two-stage online questionnaire to full-time employees who use enterprise social media,and then integrated SPSS and Mplus to analyze the survey data.Through a two-stage survey,this study collected 317 effective matching data.The analysis results show that:(1)The transparency of enterprise social media information and network translucency have a significant positive impact on the assertive impression management strategy;(2)The transparency of enterprise social media information has a significant positive impact on defensive impression management strategies,but the impact of network translucency on defensive impression management strategies is not obvious;(3)The two online impression management strategies will affect employees' knowledge sharing Produce different impacts,that is,acquired(defensive)impression management strategies will promote(inhibit)employees' knowledge sharing;(4)The strength of work boundaries positively regulates the relationship between defensive impression management strategies and knowledge sharing;(5)Post-mortem analysis shows that assertive and defensive impression management strategies have different mediating effects between enterprise social media information transparency/network translucency and knowledge sharing.Finally,this research expounds the theoretical and practical enlightenment of the article,and summarizes the limitations of current research and possible future research directions.
