With the deep integration and development of the Internet and the Internet of Things,the innovation and development of smart wearable devices have entered a new stage.Among them,smart watches have set off a new wave of smart wearable devices with the characteristics of lightweight wearable,portable to carry,and strongly relative independence.However,the interactive experience of the small-screen watch is not very friendly,smart watches are difficult to operate and users often give up the use of smart watches.Therefore,how to improve the interactive experience of the smallscreen watches and the operation efficiency of smart watches,has become an urgent problem.The thesis is derived from the author's design project: design and optimization of the navigation system of VIVO second-generation smart watches when the author worked in the Intelligent Terminal Design Department of VIVO Mobile Communication Company.The navigation system of smart watches informs the user of the status and location in real time,guides users the way they come and go,and helps the user to quickly reach the target information.In the project,the author was mainly responsible for the overall interaction design of the product,participated in the competition analysis,comment feedback analysis,interaction design and usability testing of the smart watch's navigation system.The article introduces the design process of the project from preliminary analysis to design.Firstly,the status of the smart watch's navigation system is studied through competitive product analysis,the pain points and the needs of the first-generation smart watch's navigation systems are explored through comment feedback analysis.Later,the design results of the secondgeneration smart watch's navigation system are outputted.Finally,the author conducts usability testing and optimizes the design results of the navigation system.The achievements and innovations of the thesis are to redefine the smart watch's navigation system from the essence and reorganize the pain points and needs of the first-generation smart watch's navigation systems.Based on the design principles and goals,the design strategy of the smart watch's navigation system is innovated.(1)simple interactive design,the application only retains the core functions,and the buttons only reach the core applications.(2)lightweight information architecture and simple operation process.(3)the unified and global button and gesture definitions help users to quickly learn and remember,forming unified reach cognition.(4)intuitive and concise page design,enhancing the visual contrast of the page,making the highlight of the page,and improving the readability of the information.
