With the rapid development of internet and continuous upgrading of smart mobile devices,mobile game industry is developing rapidly with the tendency of socialization.Meanwhile,interpersonal communication and interaction between users have become an urgent need for online gaming experience.This research aims to explore players' social demands in MMORPG(massively-multiplayer online role-playing)mobile games,to improve players' social experience,and to meet actual product development needs of enterprises.Based on the Net Ease's project,"The Xuan Yuan Sword: Long Wu Yun Shan",intensive research and iterative design on social system were conducted.Generally,the tendency of MMORPG mobile games and the importance of the social atmosphere were researched.Moreover,the social attributes and social needs of MMORPG players were defined,and the bonding system under the mobile game immersive social system was completely redesigned.First of all,proposal about development of the MMORPG mobile games industry was studied,the social form and development trend were also analyzed.Besides,the importance of heavy social communication was pointed out.Thus,questionnaires and interviews were conducted for collecting users' feedback during game operation.Based on the output of questionnaires and interviews,player' data were collected during the project.Then the FOGG model was used for verifying the necessity of heavy social communication and the marriage system design,and summarizing the insight of user needs.Secondly,from the perspective of users,a comprehensive research on design strategy,function,interface,and visual performance was carried out.By competitive analysis,similarities and characteristics of "The Xuan Yuan Sword: Long Wu Yun Shan" were analyzed.It provided scientific guidance on the design of the subsequent marriage system.Thirdly,the hierarchical analysis theory of "user experience elements" was applied for the interface design of MMORPG mobile game marriage system.The bottom-up analysis was carried out for analysing the scope layer,structure layer,framework layer,and presentation layer.And the design strategy of this type of game system was formulated with the actual design process during the project.Fourthly,the design strategy proposed in the last stage was applied in the design project of version 2.0 of the marriage system of "The Xuan Yuan Sword:Long Wu Yun Shan".The design was implemented in a goal-oriented design process by combining interaction design methods.Moreover,the marriage system was designed,developed,and launched.Player feedback and social precipitation data was collected and used for further iteration,project summary,and design verification.In the end,innovations were summarized and limitations were pointed out.The design research methods and research flow used in this research provided reference for a further development and iteration design of MMORPG mobile games.At the same time,the iterative design on marriage system provided a better social experience and atmosphere for players,which improved overall satisfaction in the game.
