Delay-Tolerant Networking(DTN)can meet the current needs of Deep Space Networks(DSN)communication service,solve the problem of long delay and frequent interruption of transmission.However,with the rapid development of space technology,the scenarios of DSN will become more and more complex,businesses and services will become more and more diverse,and the amount of data transmission will also increase sharply in the future.Therefore,the future DSN will face many technical challenges,taking into account the advantages of Information-Centric Networking(ICN)in data distribution,this paper studies the architecture and protocol of ICN,as well as the data distribution strategy based on the characteristics of DSN,and hopes that it can provide certain reference for the application of ICN in the future DSN.Firstly,this article summarizes the communication and business needs based on the analysis of the future development trend of deep space networks.Through the comparison of DTN and ICN technical systems,the feasibility and advantages of ICN application in the deep space environment are analyzed,and then the ICN protocol architecture is studied,and the ICN protocol is designed,including architecture components,protocol operations and the format of the data packet.Secondly,based on the proposed ICN network architecture and protocol architecture,this paper uses its caching mechanism to study the data distribution strategy of ICN under the deep space network,including the nearby data acquisition,link interruption processing and multi-source transmission mechanism.Obtaining data nearby can shorten the transmission path;link interruption processing can avoid waiting for the recovery of the interrupted link by reselecting the data source;multi-source transmission can make full use of node resources and link bandwidth resources,dispersing the transmission pressure of a single data source.These strategies can improve the efficiency of data distribution.At last,this paper establishes an experimental scenario through SDN and virtualization technology,and tests the functions and performance of ICN,including subscription publishing function,caching function,interrupt handling function and multi-source transmission performance.The test results show that the ICN architecture and the transmission strategies can effectively improve the data distribution efficiency of the future DSN.
