With the rapid increase in demand for video services and the exponential growth of smart mobile devices,limited spectrum resources and excessive loads on the base station side have become major problems of mobile communications.In order to solve the above problems,The Third Generation Partner Project(3GPP)has proposed a terminal-through technology(D2D),which allows neighboring devices to proceed directly without going through the base station communication has the advantages of alleviating the pressure of base stations,improving the utilization rate of spectrum resources,and expanding the network coverage.However,D2 D users need to discover each other before communicating and this process consumes much energy.The individual rationality of the user greatly reduces the user's willingness to participate in D2 D communication,which will ultimately affect the performance of the D2 D communication network and user experience.Firstly,the research background and main application scenarios of D2 D communication are introduced,and the current research hotspots are briefly analyzed,focusing on describing the device discovery algorithm in D2 D communication.Then,the characteristics of existing algorithm and challenges are analyzed.Secondly,the existing traditional D2 D device discovery algorithm has the following questions: the user's willingness to participate in the discovery process is not high for the high energy consumption of the device;the differences in user service requirements will cause the discovered users cannot provide the required services to the requesting users.To solve these problems,D2 D device discovery algorithm based on incentive mechanism is proposed.The cell is divided into multiple service sharing communities,then the service information that users in each community can provide is collected in order to provide more accurate communication services to the requesting users.At the same time,in order to increase the user's enthusiasm for participating in device discovery,contracts conclude the power that the user device need to provide and the reward it will receive are provided to users.The proposed algorithm can effectively improve the device discovery rate and user experience without increasing device energy consumption.Thirdly,there are also some other questions in the existing discovery algorithm: users' willingness to participate in device discovery and communication is affected by the user's own social attributes;the detection rate of fixed beacons is easily affected by user mobility.To solve these problems,a D2 D device discovery algorithm based on social trust and mobility prediction is proposed.In the proposed discovery mechanism,social trust between users is calculated to confirm the trusted users of each user,then the location information of the trusted users is predicted through the Markov model.Finally,the transmit power of the beacon is dynamically configured according to the location information of the trusted user.The proposed solution not only reduces the energy consumption of the device in the device discovery process,but also effectively improves the D2 D communication performance.Finally,the main works are summarized and the future works are prospected.
