With the rapid development of the Internet of Things technology,more and more devices have joined the Internet of Things network.Only relying on traditional cellular communication technology can no longer meet the needs of the Internet of Things to connect a large number of terminal devices.At the same time,in order to achieve a wider coverage and the lowest power consumption as much as possible,LPWAN communication technology is rapidly emerging,among which LoRa is one of the most promising LPWAN communication technologies.This article studies the LoRa WAN network architecture and its protocol from the perspective of application scenarios.It is noticed that the LoRa WAN protocol stipulates that the gateway is only responsible for forwarding data and does not perform any data processing.All data processing is done by the LoRa WAN server.This network architecture is more suitable for the United States(where the LoRa's official company Semtech is located),which has a large area with sparse population,scattered communities,and a relatively small community.However,in China,where the community is relatively large and the community is relatively concentrated,the amount of data is so large that the server can not process it well,so we consider transferring part of the server's functions to the gateway to reduce the server pressure.This article mainly starts from this point,proposes a new Io T solution which is based on the LoRa WAN network architecture,to adapt to the Chinese community.In this solution,the gateway is no longer only responsible for forwarding data,but also process the data,and at the same time,propose a simulation test system to verify the design.The test system is mainly composed of four modules: LoRa terminal,LoRa gateway,LoRa community server and application display platform.Socket communication technology is used to simulate the communication between LoRa terminal and gateway.LoRa community server is built on a virtual machine which is based on the centos operating system.The application display platform is realized by backstage management system,and the LoRa terminal module design takes the water meter terminal as an example.Design the communication protocol which is the data packet format of the simulation test system,and test the simulation test system to complete the verification of the design scheme and the important technologies.The test results show that the various parts of the simulation test system can communicate normally between the modules,and are able to complete the basic application scenarios,including the terminal requesting to join the LoRa network,successfully accessing the network,and sending data packets with the water meter data to the server successfully.This design solution has been verified to be feasible of.
