In the context of the new era,the goal of building a modern and powerful country requires enterprises to move towards a world-class enterprises,which means they should actively raise the awareness and improve the level of fulfillment of social responsibility.According to the performance of listed companies and the released of corporate social responsibility(CSR)reports,there is still a lot of room for improvement of listed companies' s CSR,and this situation is also subject to public widespread attention and supervision.Lack of CSR also shows that the internal control of the companies is flawed or the implementation is not effective enough.The rapid development of media in recent years has also shown that there is an external governance effect on enterprises.The media can reduce information asymmetry,make use of reputation mechanisms and administrative intervention mechanisms to become an important external supervision force for the performance of CSR.Since both internal control and media attention can affect corporate social responsibility,this paper selected sample data of Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from2012 to 2019 to empirically study their relationship.Furthermore,this paper classified the media attention and the nature of different property rights into different types for further analysis.The study found: Internal control and media attention have a significant role in promoting the level of corporate social responsibility performance;media attention exerts a positive moderating effect,which indicates media attention strengthens the positive correlation between internal control and social responsibility;The internal control of nonstate-owned enterprises has a greater role in promoting social responsibility.In non-stateowned enterprises,the media attention of enterprises has a more significant role in regulating the relationship between internal control and corporate social responsibility.Based on the research conclusions,this paper put forward relevant suggestions from three aspects,such as internal control,media attention and corporate social responsibility,which are conducive to promoting enterprise's sustainability.
