With the extensive establishment of the OTN transmission network,OTN equipment continues to evolve.Therefore,the role of OTN signal sources in improving product development efficiency,shorting the development cycle of the product and ensring product stability is increasingly important.In the context of domestic technical blockades and OTN signal sources relying on foreign imports for a long time,the research and development of OTN signal sources with independent intellectual property rights has been put on the agenda.According to the requirements of the subject,this paper studies the related design of multi-system OTN signal source and how to realize the signal source based on the characteristics of OTN signal.Based on the basic functions of the signal source,the loopback test function and signal recurrence function are added.This paper completes the design and implementation of the signal source to achieve these functions.The main contents of this article are:Firstly,this paper briefly introduces the domestic and the froeign development status of OTN technology and OTN signal sources.It also describes the frame structure and related overhead of OTN signal defined in ITU-T G.709,and the technology that the signal source needs in the implementation process,which lays a theoretical foundation for the subsequent design.Secondly,taking the functional requirements of the OTN signal source as the goal,this paper designs the OTN signal source in a top-down manner according to the function.In order to adapt to the real-time processing of high-speed OTN signals,this paper analyzes the functions of rate matching,data scrambling,ODTU4.8 virtual container,CRC check,OTL4.10 interface and so on.In addition,this article details their specific design and logic implementation.Finally,this paper gives the hardware design of the signal source and the software logic implementation.On this basis,the test framework is built.The simulation software is used to simulate the sub-modules and analyze the results.After simulating the functions of each sub-module,the whole system is debugged step by step according to the OTN signal generation process on the hardware platform.Adjusting the timing between individual sub-modules enables the source to output correctly to achieve the corresponding design goals.
