Current Status And Frontiers Of Knowledge Capital Research Abroad

The knowledge economy promotes the generation of knowledge capital.Since the 21 st century,the research of knowledge capital has entered a new stage of development,and the content and method of the research have changed greatly.What problems have been discovered,what attempts have been made,and what theoretical achievements have been produced by researchers in the field of knowledge capital today are important issues of concern to scholars interested in knowledge capital.Compared with domestic research,foreign research on intellectual capital has always been in a leading position in terms of research direction,research methods and research depth.In an era which knowledge can create great productivity,anyone who can seize the opportunity,learn to create value and wealth with knowledge,adjust industrial structure and production mode and improve comprehensive national strength will be undefeated in the new round of international competition.This paper selects ‘Journal of Intellectual Capital’,which is the most representative professional Journal in the field of Intellectual Capital research,as the research object,and uses visual literature analysis to sort out and analyze the 675 literatures it contains from its inception to 2018,and then discovers the characteristics,emphases and hot spots of knowledge capital research.Identify the characteristics,focuses,and hot spots of knowledge capital research.After that,the paper compares it with the domestic research status and finds out the shortcomings of domestic research in this field or the research space that can be further focused on.It is convenient for our country to be able to target and even create the effect of “overtaking in corners” in the future research of knowledge capital,so as to form a good development momentum in the new round of international competition as soon as possible.The innovation of the paper is mainly reflected in the following three aspects:First of all,the object of analysis selected in this paper is relatively novel.‘The Journal of Intellectual Capital’,which embodies a strong professionalism,is analyzed as the carrier of the development achievements of Intellectual Capital in foreign countries since the 21 st century,which is targeted and representative to some extent;Secondly,the analysis method of the paper is relatively new.There are not many literatures that use bibliometric analysis to sort out and analyze,and the results of software analysis are seldom presented,while in the analysis process of this paper,all the analyzed visual results are presented in the form of pictures or tables,which is conducive to the majority of researchers to have a more intuitive grasp of the analytical thinking and analysis process of this paper,so as to better understand the viewpoints summarized in this paper;Finally,the paper makes a comparative analysis of domestic and foreign research on knowledge capital.This perspective of comparative analysis can clearly show some deficiencies in the study of knowledge capital in China,and in view of these deficiencies,precise efforts can be made to find a clear research direction in future related studies.
