Design And Implementation Of Integrated Management System For Public Computer Laboratory

Computer courses are usually offered for the students majoring in computer science and information engineering,and the basic computer application courses are also provided for the students majoring in other programs.The teaching practice of the courses and graduation designs of students have contributed to a growing demand for utilization of computer laboratories.Hence,an integrated information management system is expected to ensure the efficient and effective management of public computer laboratories and facilitate educational development of universities and colleges.This thesis analyzes the current management demand for the public computer laboratories of one university in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and introduces the management system functions including identity verification,student management,student' study behavior analysis,automatic software installation,course arrangement,course recommendation,equipment management,and data exchange.Moreover,this thesis constructs the functional structure of the integrated management system,designs functional cases and data flow diagrams using unified modeling language(UML),and creates the data tables of the information about laboratory administrators,teachers,students,courses,coursewares,equipment,and laboratories.In addition,this thesis implemented the data exchange of integrated management system with the student management system,teaching management system,and fixed asset management system of the university.By the strategies of period optimization,week optimization,feasibility,and satisfaction optimization,the genetic algorithm is used to develop a course arrangement algorithm.The association rule mining algorithm FP-Growth is used to design a course recommendation algorithm according to the demands for course resources among different majors.The K-means algorithm is utilized to design an algorithm for mining and analyzing students' study behaviors in class.Based on the aforementioned works,an integrated management system for public computer laboratory is developed by Python3.83 and Html5.The running operating system is the Windows 10.The used database management system is My SQL.The experiment results show that the implemented public computer laboratory system has not only the automatic software installation and information management in atraditional laboratory management system,but also the functions including course scheduling,course recommendation,and analysis of students' learning behaviors.Besides,the implemented system can exchange data with the students management system,teaching management system,and fixed assets management system in the university.The integrated management system will promote the application of information technologies in the teaching and laboratory management of universities and colleges.
