Compared with the traditional regular array,the irregular array,such as the confor-mal array and the distributed array,while having the advantages of more flexible array arrangement,smaller radar cross-section,better stealth performance and survivability,higher stability and larger beam scanning range,its complex clutter characteristic also brings the difficulty and the challenge for its application.In this thesis,model of the ar-ray and the clutter of the airborne irregular array are built,the clutter characteristics are analyzed,space-time adaptive processing algorithms and the mechanism of the range am-biguity clutter suppression methods are studied based on the airborne regular array,its applicability in airborne irregular array is explored and improved,and verified by simula-tion.The main work of this thesis is as follows:1.Research on model building and clutter characteristic analysis of airborne irreg-ular array radar.In this thesis,the clutter model of irregular array radar is built by the integration of equidistant ring surface scattering elements method,and the nonstationarity of clutter is analyzed.2.Research on space-time adaptive processing method of airborne irregular array radar.In this thesis,The principle of space-time adaptive processing is briefly explained,the principle of reduced dimension space-time adaptive processing are analyzed with gen-eralized sidelobe cancellation structure,and the precondition of its application is deduced to be channel orthogonality.A modified Gram-Schmidt process method is used to or-thogonalize the channels which are no longer orthogonal to each other in irregular arrays,which can improve the performance of STAP and the results are verified by simulation experiments.3.Research on range ambiguity clutter suppression method of airborne irregular ar-ray radar.In this thesis,the influence of range ambiguity on space-time processing is analyzed,the principle of some range ambiguity clutter suppression methods in regular array is introduced,and their applicability in irregular array is analyzed.A range ambi-guity clutter suppression method based on least squares is proposed,this method can be applied to array with any form,and its computational complexity is small.The simulation results show its effectiveness and advantages.4.Research on the performance of airborne radar space-time processing to suppress jamming.In this thesis,the principle of noise suppressing interference and the principle of space-time processing for noise suppressing interference are introduced.The suppression effect of space-time adaptive processing in uniform linear array and conformal array on noise suppressing interference is demonstrated by simulation experiments.
