The technique of Space Time Adaptive Processing(STAP) has become one of the main research directions of the radar currently, which adopts the combining with phased-array technique and digital signal processing technique and the kernel of which is how to suppress the clutter and interference. In recent years, with the development of the device level and digital beamforming, it could support the precise control the adaptive weights and speed up the processing speed, which provides effectively conditions for the STAP technique application in the digital array radar.The background of this thesis is the researching of multifunctional digital array software radar. In this paper, the principium of STAP and reduced-rank STAP are introduced, some representative reduced-rank algorithms are studied, the effect of the STAP performance by non-homogeneous is analyzed and the implementation based on the digital signal processor TS201 is researched. Mainly, four parts of content are included in this dissertation:In the first part, the signal model of STAP is founded, some basic knowledge of STAP is introduced, which is on the base of the model of equidistant array. The conception which is subspace clutter degrees of freedom and the clutter suppression principle are researched also.The second part is mainly about reduced-rank STAP algorithms. First auxiliary channel receiver algorithm and sum-difference beam algorithm are introduced. Then, a new method which has better capability and less computation load is proposed based on the clutter covariance matrix eigenvector decomposition algorithm and cross spectral method.In the third part, the effect of three representative non-homogeneous phenomenons which are power fluctuation, interference target and discrete interference are discussed and the emulational performance of which is studied. Then a new method is proposed to restrain the interference target.In the last part, the flow of the STAP arithmetic is analyzed and the parallel algorithm model is founded. Based on the digital array radar validatetory platform, a engineering implementation algorithmic model which is global serial and local parallel is proposed, the demonstration which tested by the emulational data shows that this system meet the real time requirements.
