5G is one of the foundations for the realization of Industry 4.0,and will bring users the experience improvement and digital transformation of life.5G millimeter-wave has larger system capacity and higher speed,which is the key technology for 5G deployment.This paper studies the RFFE technology of UE for 5G millimeter-wave communication system.According to the 3GPP R15 standard,the article designs and implements the millimeter-wave RFFE for 5G millimeter-wave UE chip prototype verification.The work of the thesis is as follows:First,it analyzes in detail the architecture and characteristics of three typical RFFEs,superheterodyne,zero-IF and digital IF,analyzes and compares their advantages and disadvantages,and selects the digital IF structure as the structure of the 5G millimeterwave UE RFFE.Second,according to the 3GPP R15 standard and the digital intermediate frequency structure,determine the specific indicators of the 5G millimeter-wave UE RFFE,and conduct the parameters for the transceiver intermediate frequency,the transmit channel EVM and ACLR,the receive channel noise figure,the ADC and DAC sampling rate,etc.detailed calculation and analysis.According to the specific parameters of the RFFE,the frequency conversion channel,ADC channel,DAC channel,clock unit,and control and interface unit are designed in detail.Third,establish an experimental test platform to test the RFFE of 5G millimeterwave UEs,and complete the joint debugging and system testing of the RFFE and baseband.In the 26 GHz frequency band,the EIRP of the RFFE is greater than 24.87 d Bm,the EVM of the 64 QAM modulated,400 MHz bandwidth transmit signal is less than2.87%,and the single-stream downstream peak rate is stable at 379.536 Mbps.In summary,based on the digital intermediate frequency architecture,this paper designs a RFFE for 5G millimeter-wave UE chip prototype verification,which provides certain engineering guidance for the subsequent design of 5G millimeter-wave UE chips.
