How to choose the installation position of the antenna unit to reduce the peak sidelobe level is an important topic in the study of conformal array antennas.This paper took the conformal array antenna as the research object.This paper studied the sparse optimization design of the conformal array antenna.Due to the pattern function of the conformal array antenna is a kind of nonlinear function,the sparse optimization design problem is mostly a nonlinear optimization problem.Which is still a research problem at present.This paper chose the modified real genetic algorithm and applied the algorithm to circular arrays,cylindrical conformal arrays and spherical conformal arrays for sparse optimization,thereby reducing the peak sidelobe level of the conformal array antenna.The main work of this paper are as follows:(1)This paper not only introduced the basic principle and parameters of the array antenna,but also analyzed the radiation pattern of the conformal array antenna and the particularity of the pattern.In addition,the polarization problem of the conformal array antenna is studied.The inconsistency of the coordinate system is studied using the Euler rotation method,so that the polarization pattern under this method is obtained.Finally,the simulation results are given.(2)Before optimizing the design of sparse conformal array antennas,the uniform conformal array antennas were studied,and their radiation pattern functions were deduced,and simulations were carried out.(3)The genetic algorithm is briefly introduced,and the basic process of the genetic algorithm is explained.On this basis,the modified real genetic algorithm is studied,and the optimized array antenna model is derived under certain conditions.Furthermore,the sparse circular array antenna is optimized to reduce the peak sidelobe level.The results show that the modified real genetic algorithm can reduce the peak sidelobe level of circular array antenna.(4)Based on the modified real genetic algorithm,the position coordinates of the array elements are used as optimization variables to be converted into real angular intervals and distance intervals.So as to reduce the search area,and optimize the design of the cylindrical conformal array antenna.This method reduces the complexity of the modified real genetic algorithm applied to the optimization of the array antenna,and can effectively reduce the peak sidelobe level of the cylindrical conformal array.(5)For the sparse optimal design of spherical conformal array,a solution vector representation method is used to represent the optimization variables.The spherical area is pre-divided,the number of antenna elements is pre-calculated,and the random disturbance is introduced into the position distribution of the antenna elements.Based on the modified real genetic algorithm,the sparse spherical conformal array antenna is simulated and analyzed to achieve the goal of reducing the peak sidelobe level.
