The appearance of haze weather greatly affects imaging devices and equipment.Small particles in the air have an impact on the absorption and scattering of natural light,which changes the propagation path of the original light and degrades the quality of the obtained images.The image appears such phenomena as contrast reduction,color distortion,and loss of image details.Therefore,the clarity processing of images obtained in haze weather is a key problem to be solved in the field of computer vision.The clarity methods of single images and videos in haze weather are mainly discussed in the study.In view of the influence of haze weather on the visual effect of video image,which causes the picture distortion,image quality reduction and definition blurring of video image,haze image enhancement based on HSI color space and quaternion,and quaternion haze images and videos clarity processing based on optical flow threshold are proposed,which solves the deviation of traditional methods from natural color in image enhancement and improves the real-time performance of the method.The specific steps are as follows:(1)Haze image&video enhancement based on HSI color space and quaternion.The image represented by the RGB color space model is directly transformed into the HSI color space model,and each pixel of the image represented by the HSI color space model is symbolized in the form of a pure quaternion.The three-component templates,H,S,and I,are constructed,and the haze image is smoothed using the quaternion template.Convolution is performed on both sides,left and right side of the image respectively,and the results of left and right convolution are added.Then the obtained vectors are offset,and only the scalar is left in the end.The obtained scalar is twice that of the single convolution.The image is processed as a whole to avoid the loss of color caused by sub-channel processing in RGB color space.(2)Quaternion haze video and image processing based on optical flow threshold.The clarity processing of videos&images is based on single-image clarity processing.The image of the t frame is extracted at t time,and the feature of the image or video is tracked from t time to t+n.The image or video of the t+n frame is extracted,and the optical flows of the t frame and the t+n frame of the image&video are calculated.The optical flow threshold is the difference between the values of the optional flows.The optical flow threshold is compared with the given one.If it is greater than or equal to the given threshold,the intermediate frame image of the optical flow threshold is taken.The t frame,intermediate frame,and t+n frame are processed by the haze image enhancement method based on HSI color space and quaternion.Finally,the single-frame image or video sequence is processed to synthesize the overall output.(3)MATLAB simulation experiment.The proposed method in the study is compared with the existing typical image enhancement methods,and the quality evaluation is carried out from the aspects of mean square error,peak signal-to-noise ratio,structural similarity,contrast,and information entropy.Based on the subjective presentation and objective analysis,it is proved that the proposed method has better clarity processing effect on videos&images in haze weather,and its effectiveness and advancement are verified.
