Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons are surface electromagnetic waves that propagate on metal and dielectric surfaces.Due to their special dispersion characteristics and good working characteristics,they have been widely concerned,studied,and applied to numerous microwave devices.This thesis has done research and discussion on the antenna direction of surface plasmons.The specific work is as follows:(1)First,a plasmon structural unit is designed,with its cut-off frequency being controlled to about 34 GHz through its unique dispersion characteristics.Then the mode conversion structure is optimized to convert the vertical electric field of the quasi-TEM mode in the microstrip line into the SPPs mode with a lateral component.Finally,a miniaturized directional radiation antenna with a working frequency band of 26-32 GHz and a size of 46×16.1mm2 is designed.(2)On the basis of the antenna model in(1),the length of the original model is lengthened,and 15 notched circular patches are loaded on the side of the SSPPs transmission line.The influence of number and radius of the patches and the distance between the patches and the transmission line to the SSPPs swept antenna are studied.Thus a swept antenna,whose working frequency is 26-32GHz,highest gain reaches 11.3dBi,average radiation efficiency comes up to 93.2%and size of 16.1 X 103.6mm2,was designed after its model improved and optimized.(3)An SSPPs antenna loaded with a new transition structure is designed.By loading two symmetrical rectangular strip structures and a semicircular ring structure to the antenna,the conversion from the quasi-TEM mode of the microstrip line to the TM mode in SSPPs is realized,and correctly excites the odd-numbered modes in the SSPPs transmission line.Therefore,a miniaturized broadband high-gain directional radiation antenna,with its working frequency of 28-37GHz,high gain of 9.83dBi,average radiation efficiency of 87%and size of only 20×45mm2 is designed.This thesis proposes two miniaturized directional radiation antennas and a sweep frequency antenna by designing SSPPs structural units,SSPPs transmission lines and microstrip antennas,and verifies the effectiveness of the design method.All three antennas possess certain application value in microwave broadband services of 5G millimeter wave high-frequency field or LMDS,providing a certain reference for the integration of SSPPs devices in microwave circuits in the meantime.
