Spoof surface plasmon polaritons(SSPPs)based transmission lines, antennas and functional devices have attracted increasing attention due to the single-conductor structure and the desirable operating performance. In this thesis, the dispersion characteristics of the SSPPs transmission lines in millimeter-wave are studied by full-wave numerical simulation combining fabrication measurement.A variety of novel devices are designed for millimeter-wave based on the aforementioned research. The main work and innovation parts of this thesis are concluded as following:1.The relationship between dispersion characteristics of SSPPs unit and the confinement to electric field as well as the effect of the structure size on the dispersion characteristics are investigated for millimeter waves. The results show that the dispersion characteristics of SSPPs are totally decided by its physical dimension,so the structure can be designed in desired frequency by tuning the parameters properly.2.A novel wideband and compact transition between the slotline and the SSPPs transmission line is presented. The transition is working in 20 to 40 GHz,which can over the whole Ka-band.The insertion loss of the transition is less than 1 dB.Because of the compact and simple configuration and good operating features, the proposed structure is attractive for the design of millimeter-wave antennas.3.The operating mode of the rectangular loop antenna that excited by SSPPs structure is studied. After that,a novel SSPPs-fed leaky-wave antenna is designed for millimeter-wave.The antenna can perform vertical and horizontal polarized characteristics by tuning the size of loops. The antenna works in 24 to 33 GHz with a gain up to 13 dBi.4.The method that double corrugated SSPPs transmission line excites patch antenna has been investigated.A novel SSPPs-fed patch antenna with an impedance bandwidth of 9.9%and a gain of 6.5 dBi works in Ka Band is proposed. The radiation pattern is stable which cross-polarization level is less than-13 dB and the front-to-back ratio is larger than 10 dB.
