A Study Of Supplements In Suityan Area(1912-1937)

The period from 1912 to 1937 is the important history of the development of the supplement in Sui Yuan area.In the past 26 years,with the surging of new ideas,the support of the government for the newspaper cause and the stimulation of the social environment,the supplement in Sui Yuan came into being,and produced the corresponding content in different stages,which not only has the characteristics of the times,but also reflects the development characteristics of Sui Yuan supplement.From the development of the supplement,the new trend of thought and the people's living conditions in the current society provide spiritual support for the supplement and stimulate its social attribute;the state of the government and social development determine the activity of the supplement in Sui Yuan,which can be said that the birth and development of the supplement is caused by the environment.Based on the analysis of the content of the supplement,we can find that the supplement has distinctive characteristics of the Anti Japanese literature and the new era of Sui Yuan.From the perspective of content characteristics,although Sui Yuan is located in the remote north of the Great Wall,the content of the supplement basically echoes the trend of thought in the mainland.In addition to the current situation,the new cultural trend of the May 4th Movement was reflected late in the supplement,the creation of left-wing literature,the promotion of the new poetry movement,and the initiation of national defense literature were all coordinated with Beiping,Shanghai,Tianjin and other mainland cities,and developed vigorously in Sui Yuan.The reason is that Sui Yuan students and local progressive books and periodicals have established communication channels between internal and external cultures,which has opened up the social atmosphere to a certain extent;secondly,the self-learning of the people of insight in Sui Yuan and the ideological education of the Communist Party have sprouted revolutionary ideas and cultivated a group of writers with high ideological awareness.The second characteristic of the content of the supplement in Suiyuan area is that the position of the supplement is contrary to that of the main journal.Although most of the supplements were attached to the official newspapers of the party and government of Sui Yuan province at that time,they were in opposition to the main one in terms of Anti Japanese and cultural thoughts.This is because the development of Sui Yuan supplement is intermittent,and there are no influential full-time writers,so it is not valued by the authorities;second,because Sui Yuan is far away from the center of the Kuomintang government,its censorship of Sui Yuan's newspapers is relatively loose,and the highest leader of Sui Yuan province is patriotic general Fu Zuoyi in the 1930 s,so the local government is more tolerant of the revolutionary speech in the supplement.The third characteristic of the supplement content in Sui Yuan area is that the supplement content is mostly written by the members of the association,which has aroused the literary movement to form a certain momentum.A group of intellectuals gathered together with the revolutionary vision because of Comrade Xiang,but there was a lack of intellectuals in Sui Yuan area.Most of them were classmates,relatives and so on,which made their close relationship closer.As a result,there was a huge joint force among the members of the association,and the combat effectiveness and appeal burst out in the relatively loose Suiyuan supplement,forming a consistent and stable ideological atmosphere.Due to many factors such as backward development,remote location and unstable political situation in Sui Yuan,the development of the supplement in Suiyuan was not very active.However,from 1912 to 1937,the supplement promoted the cultural development of Sui Yuan,inspired the people's spirit and struggle,and strengthened the communication between Sui Yuan and the outside world.The research on the supplement of Sui Yuan during this period will help us to have a more comprehensive understanding of the development history of Sui Yuan's newspapers and periodicals in the Ming Dynasty,as well as the social features at that time,which will provide a useful reference for the research on the history of Journalism and regional development in Inner Mongolia.
