| The study of Empathy Communication focuses on exploring the generation process and characteristics of empathy in the process of information dissemination,as well as the influence and function of Empathy Communication.Through in-depth analysis of the connotation of Empathy,a psychological concept,with combination with the basis of communication theories and scholars' definition of Empathy Communication,this article interprets Empathy Communication as the effect,in which the communicators' use of some strategies or methods in communication to make the target empathized with their communicational content.In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic,a public health emergency,the use and influence of Empathy Communication in news reports has become more notable than ever.This article takes epidemic reports on CCTV News Broadcast as an example to explore its construction method and influence of Empathy Communication,as well as the strategy of Empathy Communication on news media.Epidemic reports on CCTV News Broadcast,by means of representing emotional connotation of time and location of the news,shows the news figures' emotional state,combines symbols that filled with emblematic meaning to construct the report,in which its content arouse empathy of the audience.Empathy Communication not only affects the audience's emotions,but their attitude and behavior.Futher more,measurement of Empathy Communication and emotional inclination have nonnegligible influence on its results.The news media should have a strategy to spread empathy in phases in epidemic reports,and use more diverse information carriers and media means to soften the presentation of hard core news.News practitioners should uphold journalistic ethics to carry out Empathy Communication,attaching importance to the public's emotional guidance,giving full play to the role of the mainstream media "gatekeeper" and the role of public opinion guidance. |
