The performance of display devices has gradually improved because of the development of technology. In addition to the improvement in resolution and color richness, there is a significant increase in refresh rate. The principle of screens displaying dynamic images is closely related to the visual fusion and visual persistence of the human eyes. When the frequency of image changing is enough, the human eyes will get dynamic sense, and the threshold frequency is usually 60 Hz.The refresh rate of current displays can already reach 144 Hz and even higher. The higher refresh rates can bring a lot of advantages, including a smoother viewing experience and new display modes, for instance, temporal psycho-visual modulation.TPVM is a new display technology based on the principle of time division multiplexing.By constructing a series of atom frame, there will be a series of combinations of atom frames that can be received by different viewer, and the information utilization can be greatly improved. The content of adjacent frames usually have strong relationships in normal situations, while the condition is different in TPVM.In TPVM applications, the adjacent atom frames are often provided to different modulation views,so they are usually completely different, even opposite. There are experiments show that in this kind of case, the critical flicker frequency of human eyes will not be 60 Hz,but several hundred of Hz.That means human eyes can notice flicker easily. If the refresh rate of the refresh sequence is still set at 60 Hz in the application of TPVM,the viewer will notice the flicker and the view experience will be worse.Because of that,a series of experiments are designed to measure the limit refresh rate of human eyes in this paper, especially when spatial frequency is low,by using grating pattern as visual stimuli. Then the characteristics of the limit refresh rate changing with the spatial frequency of the gratings under different external factors will be obtained by analyze the data, especially when the directions of the gratings change. The result can also provide guidance for parameter selection in actual production. In addition, this paper uses the DLP device to build a prototype of information hiding display based on TPVM and carry out demonstration experiments. And in Chapter.4,a method of generating corresponding adaptive jamming patterns for complex images is proposed to improve the effect of jamming in secret secure display applications.
