WeChat is one of the most representative social app products in the Internet era.During its ten years of birth,it has had a very important impact on people's lifestyles.With the rapid growth of mobile Internet users in China,the WeChat public account,a subsidiary product of WeChat,has also experienced a period of rapid development.However,with the disappearance of the mobile Internet user bonus,the development of the WeChat public account has also begun to enter a gradual period.In the spring of 2020,COVID-19,a new coronavirus pneumonia outbreak occurred.WeChat public account is one of the main platforms for people to obtain information.What changes have occurred in its operating status compared with the past are worth exploring.This article makes statistics and analysis on the operating data of the WeChat Top 500 during the COVID-19 from February to April 2020,and compares the data in the same period in 2019 to explore the operations of the WeChat Public Number in the past two years.After a macro comparison,this article selects two representative accounts "Dr.Lilac" and "Ten o'clock Reading" for case analysis,in-depth exploration of the operation status of WeChat public account.Through the investigation,it is found that the operation status of the WeChat public account mainly has the following characteristics:First,the user base is still huge,and the overall reading volume and article publishing volume are still showing an increasing trend,but the reading growth of a single article is showing fatigue,but the original content life is still tenaciousSecond,the Top account aggregation effect has become more and more obvious.These accounts have attracted most of the platform's traffic,but accounts with a small fan volume also have their long-tail market;Third,cultural accounts and people's livelihood accounts account for a large proportion of head accounts.Finally,according to the operation status of WeChat public platform,its development trend is analyzed.The active period of WeChat public platform will continue for a period of time,but the content will show a vertical and layered trend.High-quality content is an important guarantee and foundation for the platform to maintain fans,and in the future,the form of traffic realization of WeChat public platform will also be more complex and diverse.
