Wireless sensor networks are widely used and can be used in various environments. It can be composed of sensor nodes in fixed position or moving nodes. The deployment mode of sensor nodes depends on the characteristics of specific applications. In order to solve the problem of prolonging the working time of sensing nodes under usually limited power supply conditions(battery life),one of the ways to improve the energy consumption efficiency of wireless sensor networks is to let the nodes work in a low duty cycle(low-duty-cycle)mode.Therefore,completing this function requires the development of low-energy routing protocols to establish paths between sensor nodes and receivers.Path selection should ensure maximum network lifetime. However, the characteristics of the environment in which wireless sensor nodes are located and the strict resource and energy constraints make the routing problem extremely challenging. In this dissertation, the multi-hop routing protocol of wireless sensor network is studied by using low duty cycle energy saving scheduling mechanism. The main research contents are as follows :First, the related concepts, characteristics and key technologies of wireless sensor networks,as well as the low duty cycle mechanism are introduced systematically.According to these introduction, the delay problem of energy problem in low duty cycle network is analyzed in detail, which provides a theoretical basis for the design of low duty cycle multi-hop routing protocol.Secondly, the routing problem in wireless sensor network is discussed, the routing protocol in wireless sensor network is studied, the routing strategy of wireless sensor network is proposed, and the performance of several routing protocols is compared and analyzed. Finally, considering the problem of energy equalization and forwarding delay, the energy saving mechanism of asynchronous dormant scheduling with low power monitoring is adopted, and the decision conditions of broadcast forwarding delay limitation are given.A multi-hop broadcast routing protocol based on energy-balanced and delay-limited EBDC(Energy-Balanced and Delay-Constrained Broadcast).Experiments show that the EBDC protocol can effectively solve the problems of reducing the average energy consumption of nodes and prolonging the network life cycle.
