Multimodal Discourse Analysis Of Li Ziqi's Short Video From The Perspective Of International Communication

This thesis analyzed Li Ziqi's most liked short video on YouTube based on the method of Multimodal Discourse Analysis.The characters and limits of Li's video were analyzed,and a proposal for the limits was provided.Wish this thesis can improve China ' s international communication ability,enhance the international communication effect,and provide inspiration and guidance to other forms of international communication.Multimodal Discourse is from the Systemic Functional Linguistics created by M.A.K.Halliday,but there are some differences.Scholars have explored the topic and achieved many research results.This paper uses one of the research results,the Multimodal Discourse Analysis from Kress and Van Leeuwen's The Grammar of Visual Design.Detailed analysis is based on the three meta functions of The Grammar of Visual Design :Representational,Interactive and Compositional.Multimodal Discourse Analysis Method,Case Analysis Method,Textual Analysis Method are used to analyze the video in different perspectives.As a conclusion,first,Multimodal Discourse Analysis can give short video a deeper interpretation;second,short video on social media can improve the current status of international communication in China.
