With the deepening of aging in China,the problem of the image of the elderly in the mass media has attracted more and more attention of researchers.Since 2016,China ' s short video industry is in an accelerated evolution period,and the image of the elderly has also changed.What kind of image of the elderly appears in the short video platform affects the cognition of the elderly to their own groups.The gradual deepening of the elderly group' s contact behavior also determines the social construction of the elderly,which affects the public ' s view of the elderly group.In-depth study of the media image of the elderly is of great significance to actively respond to the aging population and the ' silver wave ',create a healthy and positive aging society,and strengthen the development of aging undertakings.This article takes the short video of the elderly in the Tik Tok short video platform as the research object,mainly adopts the literature research method.The characteristics of the presentation of the image of the elderly,and in-depth exploration of the problems in the process of presentation,with the help of the analysis of the causes of the problems to find the corresponding strategies.Through in-depth analysis of the topic level,style level,it is found that the elderly in the Tik Tok short video mainly present two types of self-consciousness: self-building and self-elimination,which correspond to each other.Under the influence of different visual rhetoric,and their value will be reshaped and integrated into two types of elite consciousness and grassroots consciousness.While Tik Tok short videos for the elderly have received a lot of attention,problems in the process of presenting the image of the elderly have also continued to emerge.In the short video ecosystem that competes for traffic,the elderly short videos of Tik Tok will inevitably fall into a state of excessive entertainment.There is a certain difference between the extreme image of the elderly and the real image of the elderly in reality.The scramble for eyeballs to use tricky old people as the main content has also spawned new old age discrimination,and it is difficult to obtain the right to show their true selves and self-construct media images.Based on various issues,the short videos of Tik Tok for the elderly will not only affect the elderly's perception and judgment of themselves,but also affect the views and attitudes of the general public towards the elderly.The image of the elderly presented in the current Tik Tok videos is not Can fully reflect the requirements of a healthy aging society.Therefore,based on the construction of a healthy aging society,viewers and Tik Tok short video platforms.
