In recent years,the industry of soft robot and silica gel products have developed rapidly.In order to realize the special performance of soft robot and increase the aesthetics of silica gel products,functional powder can be added into the silicone material to make it possess special properties.Because traditional methods such as rolling molding and molding are time-consuming and laborious,the application of 3D printing technology in this field can greatly reduce the production time and improve the production efficiency and printing accuracy.Therefore,it is necessary to design a 3D printer that can take silica gel and functional powder as materials.This paper aims at mixing silica gel and functional powder3 D printing,studies on the molding principle of silica gel 3D printing.The mechanical system and control system of 3D printer are designed respectively,and finally carries out experimental verification and impact parameter research on printing.The overall scheme of 3D printer is proposed.According to the function of each system,the 3D printer system is divided into mechanical system and control system for scheme design.The body structure of 3D printer and the transmission mode of three-axis motion are determined.Based on the principle of screw feed powder,a design scheme of screw feed powder feeder is presented.Based on the principle of screw extrusion device,a design scheme of screw extrusion device is presented.The scheme design of the whole control flow is completed.The mechanical system of 3D printer is designed.Firstly,the frame system of the fuselage was designed according to the requirements of the design scheme.Then,the driving system of X,Y and Z axis is designed by calculating the basic size of the synchronous belt and the wear resistance and strength of the screw.Finally,the extrusion system was designed according to the design scheme of the powder feeder and the extrusion device.The extrusion device was successfully fabricated and assembled.The design of 3D printer control system is realized.The control system is divided into temperature control unit,motion control unit and software control unit.respectively,the stepper motor theorist,limit switch,such as hardware type selection design was carried out,and the slicing software selection and initial setup,presents a suitable silicone model of 3D printing design rule,and set up a series of section parameter,finally write silica gel and the function of powder mixed 3D printer interface control system platform.The overall prototype of the 3D printer mixed with silica gel and functional powder was built,the speed of the injection pump and the speed of the mixing motor were optimized,and the soft robot or silica gel object such as starfish,cylindrical elastic ring and soft fish fin were successfully printed,which verified the effectiveness and feasibility of this printing method.
