With the development of the Internet,more and more people choose online shopping,as a result,online data has gradually become a source for identifying customer requirement and the research of the online data become more and more popular,but at the same time,how to accurately and quickly identify customer needs from online data has become a hot research topic.With the development of the economy,the current nature of the market has gradually transformed into a customer-oriented model.How to quickly respond the customer requirements is a major problem that the researchers facing.The diversity of customer needs and changes in demand are getting faster and faster.The most important means for enterprises to obtain more customers is to shorten the product development cycle,enter the market in time,and meet the timeliness of customer needs.Product iteration has become the way to solve the diversity and rapidly change of customer requirements.Therefore,how to identify customer requirements from online data and product improvements has become a problem that the researchers facing.This paper proposes a product configuration improvement design method based on multi-source online data.The method mainly includes two steps:customer demand identification and intelligent mapping from customer requirements to product configuration.Finally,the method of this article is applied to product configuration improvement design of smart phones.The main research works include the following aspects:(1)Proposed a method for identifying customer needs based on online reviews of products to be researched and competing products.Firstly,use the customer's online review data and use the word frequency statistics method to extract the product feature words that the customer focused;Secondly,perform sentiment analysis of the online reviews based on the sentiment dictionary,then identify emerging customers based on the negative reviews that serve as the basis for product configuration improvement and identify customer demand in the current market based on the positive reviews of the competing products.Finally,based on the extracted product feature words and sentiment analysis results,unstructured online review data is converted into structured data,then mapping the emerging customer requirements to product configuration.(2)Proposed a method for the product configuration improvement based on multi-source online data.By analyzing the historical transaction data of competitive products,we have learned the current demand for specific product attribute options in the market,and based on this,we have obtained the market share of product attribute options as reference data for the feasible product configuration plans.Obtain emerging customer needs by analyzing negative reviews,as the basis for product configuration improvement plan selection,use the customer needs that identified from the positive reviews of the competitive products to build a training set of intelligent classifiers,and finally use a widely used intelligent classifier-Support Vector Machine to perform the mapping process from emerging customer requirement to product configuration,and select the final product configuration improvement plan.(3)An application case of product configuration improvement design based on multi-source online data is given.Taking smartphones as the research object,and using Huawei phones as the research objects,the online review data of the 4 types Huawei phones studied and the online data of 25 types competing products are used,and to use the method proposed that product configuration improvement based on multi-source online data in this article for the product configuration improvement design of mobile phone.By using the method proposed in the article,12 feasible product configuration plans are obtained.After that,emerging customer demands mapping is used to obtain 6 final product configuration improvement plans.The 6 final product configuration improvement plans meet 90%of customer needs of the current market.The verification and analysis of the results of the applied research prove the practicability and accuracy of the research method proposed in this paper.
