With the development of media technology such as hyperlinks,virtual reality and interactive media,the society has ushered informationize,globalization and networking.The art works created by these technologies also have the characteristics of media.This study combs the types of interactive narrative works in the digital era,and discusses the narrative strategies around the media characteristics of digital media-interactivity.The interactive narrative works in the digital age can be divided into three categories:one is network Solitaire novels,whose essence is meaning crowdfunding relying on the community;the other is hypertext novels,visual novels and interactive movies and TV plays,whose common feature is that they rely on hyperlink technology in technology.When readers make choices,they choose different versions of complete stories written by narrators.The third is the most interactive and ideal interactive narrative game based on artificial intelligence.Its core feature is that the story world revolves around players’ behavior.The "interaction" around the technical characteristics of digital media includes the interaction between human and machine interface,between human and artificial intelligence algorithm,and between human and multimedia text.The interaction between human and multimedia text helps the audience to be more deeply involved in the narrative.The ideal interaction between human and artificial intelligence balances the conflict between narrative and interaction in interactive narrative works for a long time.In the process of interaction with human-computer interface,mobilizing physical experience becomes one of the narrative strategies of narrators,which also challenges the dualism of body and mind and reveals the importance of physical experience in communication.At the same time,"emotion" is also stimulated around "interaction" in interactive narrative.The myth of "technology empowerment" makes the audience participate in "story writing" to a certain extent as "discourse subject",but the real author as "historical subject" is still the creator of interactive narrative works.In the process of reading the text,the audience,through the call of the reference "you",enters the role,interacts with the role,and also interacts with other roles,thus producing empathy;depending on the interaction of the community outside the text,the meaning of the interactive narrative works can be extended and expanded.In interactive narrative works,there are often two levels of space-time interaction:Story space-time and reality space-time interaction,and history,present and future space-time interaction.In the former,virtual space-time and real space-time realize the connection and communication by virtue of user’s embodied experience and thinking activities.Users shuttle between real space-time and virtual space-time.Fresh experience is constantly created,and the breadth of user’s cognition is constantly broadened.In the latter,the deep-seated needs of users beyond self limitation and self preservation are also met. |
