With the development of world culture,the protection work of cultural relics has been received the attention of the whole society since various cultural relics unearthed from all over the world are taken as epitome of social development and progress in the past hundreds of years.The digital protection technology of cultural relics based on 3D reconstruction and texture mapping can collect 3D coordinates and 2D images of cultural relics,accurately obtain their original size and appearance,generate digital information of cultural relics,provide strong support for cultural relics protection,and enhance the application value of cultural relics.In this paper,3D reconstruction and texture mapping based on cultural relic point cloud are studied,the main research work is as follows:(1)In order to solve the problem of a large number of noise in the complex and disordered cultural relic point cloud data,a denoising method combining voxel filtering algorithm,random sampling consistency algorithm and radius filtering is applied to form a complete and matching filtering process,which realizes the step-by-step denoising of the original point cloud and obtains the cultural relic point cloud model.(2)The greedy projection triangulation reconstruction and Poisson reconstruction are researched.Aim at the holes of greedy projection triangulation surface,a repair algorithm based on least square plane fitting and radial basis function(RBF)is proposed.In the surface repair algorithm,because the least square plane fitting can only optimize the triangle patch after the initial repair,but cannot reflect the original shape characteristics of the object,this paper proposes a method of using the vertex information of the surface hole boundary to form an implicit surface in RBF neural network,so that the repaired surface can maintain the shape characteristics of the original model.(3)Aiming at the texture mapping of surface model,a camera calibration method based on manually selecting corresponded points is proposed.This method calculates the internal and external parameters of the camera through several groups of corresponding points on the3 D model and the 2D image,which provides a basic service for mapping a two-dimensional picture on a surface model.(4)Based on the above algorithm,a visual system of 3D reconstruction and texture mapping of point cloud is designed and implemented.The system provides point cloud preprocessing,surface reconstruction,texture mapping,and interactive operation,realizes the digitization of relic's resources.
